is there two versions of ljp RC7 like scumm for palm made by chrilith (one for zodiac, and after for palm). I hope that some people have a zodiac, but he has a ati rageon into. the feedback of the zod isn't use. I seem the processor ati isn't optimized for ljp (but the emulation is bestest then rc3). they're is zodiac smoothing on the graphics. (my french is better). est ce que l'on peut avoir un mode multiplayer via bluetooth or wifi.

The only optimization I know of is the smoothing. I don't know if there is a specific renderer used to take advantage of the zod's graphic chipset... As for multiplayer via bluetooth/wifi, it's not there yet, but it seems that Tinnus has it planned for LJR/X/? whathever it is the next version is called.

I think there was a hardware renderer for SNES in LJZ but it didn't work much better than the software ones so yoyo removed it.

The LJX launcher will probably look different in the PalmOS and not-PalmOS versions since what I have in mind is not much Palm-esque. To be honest I don't have a good idea of what the Palm launcher will look like ;D I don't care much though, I'm more interested in speed and stability first, then cosmetics. Hey... you could make a mini-mamewah launcer I think it could be done on the PalmOS, but there'd have to be a way to flush all the launcher graphics before actually loading the emulator module.

BUG REPORT
Thanks to all who are working on this project! I have to report that with my 700p, I cannot get any of my NES or Genesis Roms to work. I have none for other systems. Sometimes it will crash my Treo, and other times it will just error out. The error occurs after saying:
Unzip ok size 667kB Stack use 10%
Error at Opening
and then I hit ok and it exits.

gmoney: hm, not good. What numbers do you have in front of the ROM names? Seems it's time to release what I have on my HD. Some errors are fixed. But probably not this one.

I am having a similar problem. Running a Palm T|X, upgraded from RC02. All of my roms have an "02:" in front of them. Also used all of the applications (including UDMH) and still can't get enough memory to run SNES. DB Cache says max alloc is over 8 MB (closer to 9). Please help!

Yeah, I noticed there's a memory leak or something. If I play 2-3 games I run out of memory and I have to reset my Treo before I can play again.

In the latest version, there is definitely a memory leak; memory isn't being released when the emulator exits back to the launcher.

I've got another project for you Henk: Wiimote support! It seems to me that since the Wiimote supports both Bluetooth and IrDA, it should be possible to use it with PalmOS devices somehow. Of course, that somehow might involve writing a driver for it... however, others have done it for other systems, so it should be possible.

Each version my TX have harder time to run SNES roms.
Actually ljp shows : RAM : 4268 DB : 7610
After a DBCache clean : RAM : 4269 DB : 11534
Nore before clean, nore after i can run bust-a-move or chrono trigger any longer. And now there is the need to tap many times "ok" before getting the "out of memory" message.

There is a memory leak. It's found and fixed. There is still one remaining for NES. I'll track it down and will release this version soon.

Still the many "ok" to tap on, and end with a "out of memory" message. I saved, formated and recovered my sd card content to unfragment it. I did a hard reset and resco backuped my palm to unframgent it. I used DA clean to get sure to have enough memory, still end the same, i can no longer play bustamove nore chrono trigger At exiting, i have a message about the stack overflow...

The overflow-msg was wrong, my fault. I've just uploaded a new version with a fix for this. How much free memory get you reported?

Before DA Cache cleaner : Ram : 4279/4266 DB : 8001/7417
After a DA Cache cleaner : Ram : 4279/4266 DB : 11693/7316
All worked perfectly with previous RC7 version.

Before DA Cache cleaner : Ram : 4279/4266 DB : 8001/7417 After a DA Cache cleaner : Ram : 4279/4266 DB : 11693/7316 Sounds tight but enough. Really? A mer.., I will have a look.

Well, I've tested the latest version, and the results are in: The Gameboy and NES emulators no longer appear to leak. However, the SNES emulator still fails to release its DB Cache when the PNO exits.
[edit] Hmm... after further testing, it appears that SNES releases the game data... it just fails to release 100Kb after the first time a game is launched; further launches don't cause a continued decrease. If I call FlushDA, the cache goes back to its original value.

I was able to launch SNES: f-zero-ROM on my Treo 650: 4839/4794kB, 7344/6855KB with the latest version. UDMH is enabled but has no special entry for LJP.

And also returned the latest "stable" version to 1.0RC7 instead of 1.0RC7b. You can still find 1.0RC7b under "older versions", though.

Personally, I think *this* version is the stable RC7 Might be good for Henk to increase the tver with each release he does though.

If it does not had ever worked i wont complain ;D Since you removed the bugs, snes module needs more and more memory to run roms. With RC2/RC3 i had not to dbcache clean after a soft reset to be able to play snes games. Since i have to. With lasts RC7, nothing allow me to run a Snes game, even with a freshly hard reset device. No game runs, secret of mana was working perfectly, even FF4 (who consume a very few memory usually, as i had not to soft reset to run it) no longer works. - Nes module works perfectly - Snes module was already stated as non working anymore - GB module works with no problems - Genesis module makes a soft reset after tapped the "ok" button. I was able to launch shining force I & II with no problem before - NGP module works good - SMS module have no problem Good luck

Angel, as I told you SNES didn't make any problems on my 650 which has less memory. But I will hard reset my TX tonight and check it on my own. Maybe there is something related to the device or the Hires+ code.

In SNES, I found that the free DBCache needs to be at around 6900KB to load Tales of Phantasia (one of the largest SNES games). I've also noticed that something seems to be freeing up all the available DBCache when the PNO exits now This means that I often have MORE DBCache after playing a game than I did before. This is on my T|X.

Well the "official" way to free the dbcache is to allocate 3M of memory. I'm guessing the SNES module probably does this.
