Hello! I think this could be the best piece of software ever written for palm os, but i can't get it work! It starts up and shows the installed roms, so far so good, but when i select one of them and push launch, there comes an "rollover", or other effect, the screen get's black for a second and the system does a soft-reset. I have DBCache Tool installed, but it won't help. The UDMH doesn't help either. What could be the problem? Can anyone help me please? Thomas

You aren't perchance, trying to run SNES games on a Tungsten T are you? That won't work very well.
How do you do running NES or GBC games?

Is there a "walkthrough" kind of installation on a Tungsten T? I have a 1GB SD Card, disabeled msmount, udmh is ver. 5.3 i havetherrecustom settings for ljp, which are: "Clean up for this app" and "show 7168K of dynamic memory". I have 7.4MB free storage mem on device, 480MB free on card. The DBCache Tool shows " Heap size: 14679792, free: 7777480, Max alloc: 7501000. Clear Type is DB, no safe mode, no app stop, no ctrl tap, autoclear on, free<4M, max<0, Clear at softreset, ast at softreset. No setting special for ljp. LJP shows (enabled UDMH): RAM 7167/7167KB DB 7595 / 7325 KB (<-Is this the prob?) Thank you for your time and help!!!

Remove the DBCache tool. You device doesn't has DBCache. Set UDMH to 4 MB and see if it works better now.

hmm.... it doesn't work. What could be the reason? Do you have tested the Prog successfully on a Tungsten T?

Let's take a step back. 1 - What version of LJP are you running? 2 - Do your ROMs work on a PC emulator? 3 - Are your ROMs zipped or unzipped? 4 - What system are you attempting to emulate when you get the reset? 5 - Do you get the same result with all GB/GBC/NES games you've tried? 6 - What are your config settings set to? 7 - Have you tried deleting your ljp.ini file?

Several people ran LJP successfully on a Tungsten T, yeah, even Genesis and SNES providing you have enough memory for it. What you report seems more than enough...
Adding to _Em's (7), try completely removing the LJP app from storage & folder from the card.

This is definitely odd... Not having a T|T myself, I find I'm out of suggestions.

hmm... do you have a debug-version for me? So i could give you the error-codes if it helps. Maybe this could help making this piece of software even better than it (maybe ;-) ) is. Could an older Version help, or is it too buggy?

Try using 1.0rc2, and see if that works for you. If not, maybe Metaview could compile a version with debug enabled

If all else fails, try running 0.9 as this was the most stable of all (read: before I began buggy-fying it ;D)

OK, i now have the 1.0 RC2 Release: it works partially. The games are started (GB and GBC) sometimes a bit slow, but playable. The Device Resets after closing the game - always. The NES does not work, but maybe the ROM's are not OK, because i have no emu to test them on computer. Is this a "known bug"?

Hi! New tests with 0.9: very stable. Only sometimes - not very often - i get softresets after i want to exit ljp, or when pressing the back butten after tapping the screen in gameplay. Very good! I hope that the next Release will be as stable as 0.9 is for me ;-)
