Can you please help me to make LJP work on my sony PEG-NZ90 ? The instal phase is OK and the program opens. I have tried several roms (GENS, NGP, SNES or WS) but without success. After the screen is cleared, it raises a "Fatal Exception". Hardware and softwares resets, the test of several configs, various versions of LJP, Uncache, UDMH, dbCache... but nothing works. I also tried and installed patch "Sound" (MCA_2), and the landscape mode. Please help !!!

I don't own a NZ90 but I do own a NX73V and a NZ80V, as far as I know, for NX73V (which only have a 16MB Storage and 3MB or so Dynamic) UDMH is a must in order to run SNES games, I never tried GENS, NGP, WS so I don't know if I can run those, and on my NX73V, I don't need to have Uncache, dbCache.
In turns of memory avaliable, I think NX73V with 16MB Storage is the closest to NZ90, I am pretty sure that for SNES games you must have 8~9MB set in UDMH in order for the game to run. (NX80V has 7MB for dynamic which does not require UDMH for most games)
One other thing you might want to check is the video setting, note that only High Res+ mode works for Clies, at least that is the case with my both NX models, if I use the one without "High Res+", it will not run, and it will pop out error for me.
Unfortunately my NX80V has been sent away for repairs right now so I can't do any testing with it, and NX73V is not charged for a long time.
You might want to let us know which version of LJP you are using too, so the devs might know what's going on.

Hi,
When launching LJP with UDMH, it shows RAM:13152/9332KB DB:9385/9332KB. I have tried without success: - LJP 1.0rc3, - LJP 1.0rc7c, - LJP 1.0rc8.
As per another thread (Topic: LJP on Tungsten T), I have also tried version LJP 0.9 beta, and at my surprise, it can launch the roms. I have tried SNES, and GENS.
But on that version, the menu available before the rom is run are buggy (it overlapps) and it is very confusing. I do not know how to reach correctly the game play to know if it works.

Well, it seems like you have enough memory on your NZ90, however, you might want to use the MSBackup to back up everything on your memory stick, then do a hard reset which will delete everything you installed on your NZ90 (by doing this it actaually defrag the memory), my guess is your NZ90's memory is fragmented, so by doing a hard reset, it defrags the memory, which should make your LJP work.
Then try setting UDMH at 9000KB for LJP, then try again, again, always use High Res for your video, and always make sure you do have enough Storage memory, because that's what UDMH does is it use storage memory as dynamic memory.
My NX80V is coming back soon, then I'll be able to test LJP 1.0 RC8 on it to see if it needs more dynamic memory than RC3.

Hi, I have tried with a full new config : doing hard reset, uninstalling all apps on my memory card. I have tested this time LJP 1.0rc2, but it still crashes as soon as and before the rom is loaded. => sound is OFF => video is set to Smoothing = OFF, Display Size = Full.x1 (hi+) Frame Skip = Auto No Fast Sprites No Transparency Renderer = Fast Note that I avoid the screen bug on LJP v0.9 by disabling the landscape mode. But on that version, I do have a problem to assign keys for the SNES : the interface does not record them. It seems to have a bug on the input screen of that version. The rom does correctly run (without sound), but I have no input keys to run. For GENS rom, the input key is limited (compared to the cliƩ keys) but it seems OK; I managed to assign some keys and play one game It would be great with the last LJP version running, but for the moment, all the configs on the LJP 1.0rcx raise a fatal exception !!!

Hmm, I am out of ideas now, you can try sending a private message on this forum to Tinnus or Metaview and see what they say, I tried helping out, but I don't own a NZ90, so it's hard for me to really tell, my NX73V which needed UDMH works fine with LJP 1.0 RC3.
By the way, you said landscape mode? why do you enable landscape mode for LJP? I thought the default screen mode for NZ90 is portrait isn't it?

Hm, hard to say. Memory wise it looks ok and even if you are short on memory, it should run at least GB or NES. You might check this too. If this also doesn't work it must be some incompatibility with the code, hard to track without the device.

Hi all,
semi, you are right, I used NZ90 landscape to test in a wider screen mode. But I returned in the default screen mode (portrait) for the tests.
I tried also GB and NES roms, but none of them work on LJP 1.0. It does work on LJP 0.9 beta.
Is there any debug version mode for the LJP 1.0 to know exactly what part (or line code) is on error ? Thx.

No debug version, but I could create one. Best, you send me an email then I can send you back something to find the place where it crashes. Do you get a normal modal crash window on the screen? Would you be able to read things which are written on the top of the screen? my Email: metaview at web dot de

Also, as usual, check to make sure you don't have any stray INI files in your roms folder.

We find a way to run it. It will be in the next update.
