I just got a zire 31 due to the influence of the board. I was wondering how I could overcome the following problems:
slow button reaction "ghosting" background noise (when headphones are on)
all except the last one deal mainly with LJP.

1 & 2 can be fixed by overclocking. 3 requires an OS patch - there's one for my TX, check the Palm France website for an audio fix that lowers the hardware volume for the z31 (not sure if it's there or not).

are you sure about ghosting? its a problem with the lcd screen so I am a little unsure if overclocking will solve the problem.

It is usually a problem with the refresh setting on the LCD screen, athough I guess it might be the actual hardware refresh speed causing the ghosting. Never hurts to try. Considering how little ghosting I got on my m120 running phoinix, I can't see how your z31 could possibly ghost more than, say, a Gameboy Advance screen.
