ok. i've already posted how my e2 died and i'm looking for a replacement.
now using ljp is only one of the many things i use my pda for, and in my research i've descovered that palm just hasn't really been that exciting in releasing anything new in the past years.
i'm slowly coming to the conclusion that my safe and comfortable palm os might slowly becoming obsolete. the pam tx was released quite a long time ago and there doesn't seem to be much talk about palm coming out with anything new in terms of straight up pdas.
in fact, it seems that no one is that excited about pda's anymore, they're all obsessed with smartphones.
now smartphones look neat and all, but i like the idea of talking on the phone, and simply jotting something down on the palm pilot without switching to speaker or digging a bluetooth headset out of my bookbag.
i've decided to consider getting *gasp* a pocket pc.
my question is this. with all th talks about how neat, versatile, and awesome ljx is going to be, is there any hope of it ever being ported to windows mobile?
the specific model im looking at is the asus mypal a626. is there any hope of getting ljx to work on a non palmone device?
have i missed something and is ljp cross compatible already?
should i abandon my ridiculous progressive ideas and invest in a palm TX instead, despite this nagging feeling that i'm playing on a sinking ship?
and what's peoples problem with straight up pda's anyway. i loved my e2.

There's a possibility there will be a LJX for Windows Mobile. Can't give any more than that, sorry.

Go retro and get a Zodiac or a T3. People aren't excited about the new ones, because the older ones are still best.

Actually Palm is rumored to release multiple PDA devices, not smartphone, in early 2008 with the new Linux based platform.
