I have already tried UDMH and softreset. But the same as before...Backgroud app is Japon, localization software which must be installed for Japanese people.

Do you have a link to a trial of Japon to check it?

Sorry. I don't know why, but RC9 works good these days. Japon is not concernd.
Perhaps, front end processor "atok"'s dicrionary is too large. I changed the dictionary to a smaller dictionary, then RC9 works good.
Yet when sounds on, RC9 works slowly...

Yet when sounds on, RC9 works slowly... That's perfectly normal. The Treo (Centro) processor isn't the most powerful thing in the world, and when you add sound emulation you'll see a performance hit. You can help that a little by turning the sample rate down, but SNES and Genesis especially benefit from just turning the sound off for smoother gameplay.

I agree strongly with the post above. I have a centro as well and have noticed that turning the sound off makes the speed 2x times faster so I can enjoy "Chrono Trigger"

Thanks a lot! I understood above. When I turned off sound, RC9 is excellent!!
I'm enjoying FF4. Regards,

Yes. So, without a card you won't have your preferences saved as well.

Under www.metaviewsoft.de/ljp.zip is a rc9 which should work on the Centro. Please try it and tell me how it works for you. There is also the 2-player code to test in NES. It needs a BT gamepad for player 2 and player one on the device keys. meta- had a question regarding 2-player code in rc9 ... does this mean that there is no way to program buttons for both players 1 & 2 into a single device OR to connect two different devices via BT and have player 2 buttons mapped on the second device? must a BT gamepad be used for player 2?

I am also wondering about this

That should be plenty, even fro SNES (some games might require a 7.8MB chunk though).

Yes, how do you wanna use 1 device with 2 players simultaniously? And having to devices connected (means 2 instances of LJP) is just another kind of thing. 2 BT connections aren't that easy either.

there are some games that would be beneficial to have ability to play both players in the same game.

Games that use the "hot seat" method, that is, one at a time, for example some of Mario ones. Player 1 dies, Player 2 plays, each with its own controller.
That scenario probably wouldn't be as fun in a mobile setup, but worth mentioning.

They could share one setting...

I've actually been waiting for that feature...and yes you wouldn't have to create a whole new profile for the second player, just maybe a button to switch from player 1 to player 2.
There actually were plenty of NES hotseat games (SMB, MULE, etc) so I could see the value of it. That and some guy on Treocentral's been asking for it for years (although thinking NESEM was the emulator of choice...lol)

Well, in LJX you can simply redefine any controls for any player, so if you want hotseat, just duplicate the configurations (that would mean both buttons would be pressed, what could be harmless most of the cases, but MAYBE bad). In any case, I will add a "enable controller #" option so you can disable controller #1 and enable #2, while having the same configurations for both. In the way I just described it's done, it makes little sense to do a "switch controlled player" option. It does mean though that new types of controllers can be easily added by just coding the appropriate protocol. ie: a key in LJX is a 32-bit value, which makes room for mostly anything to be coded in there. For example, in the SDL version, if it's < 512, it's a keyboard key. If the MS bit is 1, then it's a joystick action and the rest is defined by the implementation. The host system (SDL in this case, but then PalmOS) just has to add appropriate code to translate an input from the device, according to it, and call LJ_TranslateInput with the key-value to get the emulated system code, which is then fed to emu_buttons[player][key], which is then translated to the emulated hardware value in EMU_UpdateInput, which is called every frame after OS_ReadKeys (which, as I just said, reads values and puts them in that array). The OS implementation in the Launcher must ensure to use the same protocol though since the OS keycodes are defined by the launcher and sent to the emulator at launch time. Anyway, neat huh?

countbuggula: ok, you mean, to switch the same settings for Joy1 and Joy2? Well this is easy.

Go to my blog and redownload the latest LJP. In NES and SNES the Reset-button of the Beltbar is used to switch the player.

Thanks! I'm trying it out now, and I let the Treocentral guy know you added the functionality you requested (with a shameless plug to give you a donation of course )

Sweet! Works great in both NES and SNES (only things I have ROMS on at the moment) with 2 player mode. I saw you implemented up to 5 players for SNES, even! Very nicely done, thank you!

Maybe to add it into the 1st OSD screen would be cool to, for people without beltbar. Do you know other systems with more than 1 player on one device? (I'm not talking about serial link yet...)
