Howdy, LJP rocks! It's like having the 90's in the palm of your hand!
While re-visiting my favorite Hyrule haunts in the Legend of Zelda, I found that I cannot move the cursor in the inventory screen. For example, in the first dungeon I picked up the bow and pressed start but when I try to select the bow in the inventory screen I can't move the red cursor over to the bow.
Given that the rest of the game works flawlessly I figure I must be missing something. Any hints?
Thanks!

What device are you using? Are you using the latest version (RC9)? Are you playing with the C or ASM core? Transparencies on? Exact or Fast Renderer?
The more information you give us the easier it is for us to help you.

I am running LJP 1.0 RC8 on a Palm TX.
Not sure about the core, transparencies, or the renderer. Where can I find this information?
If it helps I am using the default everything except for screensize (1.25) and the input keys. I had to customize start, select,a,b,up,down, left, right before any input was recognized. Basically I synced the prc, copied over the zem files and was up and going.
Thanks again!

Config -> Video for rendering options Config -> Other for Core
...unless you're talking about the NES Zelda instead of the SNES one that I for some reason assumed. Then they don't exist and you can disregard those options entirely. The latest version is RC9, you might want to try that. For some reason I don't have the NES zelda ROM on mine right now...I'll have to wait till I get home today to test it out and see if I can recreate your problem.

You got it, I'm running the old skool NES version of the first Zelda adventure. That makes me feel a little better because I looked all over for the core settings etc I'll try RC9 and see if that helps. I forgot to mention that I just upgraded from RC2 which had the same issue. I used the Palm delete utility to remove RC2 and completely deleted the LJP directory and subdirectories before installing RC8. Also, I am using UDMH but hopefully that isn't too exotic.

The actual NES emulator hasn't changed since RC2, so any emulated errors would still be there. I just fired up Zelda 1 and have the exact same problem. I don't anticipate there being a fix in LJP -- look for it in LJX. To test, you can use Tinnus' LJX demo (that happens to emulate the NES) with your ROM, and see if it has the same problem.

Don't you have to have the arrows first in order to select the bow?

The problem is that you can't move the selection cursor at all on that screen -- can't even select the inventory area.

Anyone has a save state for a test?

Don't you have to have the arrows first in order to select the bow? That is correct. Using LJP 1.0RC9 I collected the boomerang, bow and bombs in dungeon 1, and was able to move the cursor between the boomerang and bombs. But the bow remains unselectable until an arrow is purchased, the same as in any other emulator or a real NES.
