Let me just start off by saying LJP is the most amazing thing ever. To think I almost bought NesEm when I got my 650, thankfully their billing system was down at the time. Anyway, my only issue is with my Treo, the dpad is garbage for anything fast paced and it would be really nice to have a an external controller of some kind. Does anyone know of one? I looked around online and found one that looked like a gameboy bottom that plugs into PDAs but it doesn't look like it fits the 650s adapter. Any help would be greatly appreciated If not, are the dpads from other Treos interchangeable? My old 600 and the 755 my friend has with a recessed center button feel way more comfortable. Thanks for any advice ;D

Looks like I'm using RC2, weird because I literally downloaded it a month ago so I figured it would be a recent version. Is there an easy way to update it or do I have to erase it all off the treo itself and then reinstall from scratch?
Thanks for the info on the bt100, I'll definitely look into that. Does it only work with specific versions?

The usual way to install a new version is to replace the PRC, all the ZEMs, and delete all the .ini files for preferences (both ljp.ini in ..../LJP and the game-specifics, which are located in the same place as the ROMs).

The .ini removal is not generally needed between updates, but there were some substantial changes between RC2 and RC7 so upgrading over that gap requires new .ini files.

I think I'll just backup everything and then start from scratch with a newer version and hope for the best, it sounds like a better idea to me than replacing only certain things and messing it up. I looked around and had no luck finding that controller, BT100 is also a bluetooth controller for stereos so it's plugging up the search with a bunch of those. Does anyone know a manufacturer or a site that has them or a controller that will work?

You're going to have problems finding it with BT100 -- the device is called the BGP-100. BT100 is only a stereo controller.

BGP-100, gotcha that should make things alot easier.
So it should be pretty straightforward getting it to work once I get a newer version installed?
Has anyone used that controller with LJP who would like to give their experience?
Thanks for all the input everyone!

Will do, I found a troubleshooting one on getting it to work so I should be good.
Thanks for the input, my cramped hands should be a thing of the past once I get over the high price of this controller haha.

Isn't that hard to replace ebay.de with ebay.com and have it in english, or? 30 US-$ is a not that expensive, just in case someone looked for a BT gamepad...

I almost bought one, but it is $30 for the item, $35 to ship it and they use UPS so that's anouther $40 in brokerage fees.
That blew my budget on a test device. Still I'd like to get one and support it in MAME. Hopefully someone will sell it who isn't making the money on shipping.

Couldn't Metaview just share his code with you? After all, LJP is supposedly open source.

The code is in LJP, in all Z-Games and vilmos can always ask :-)

Sure the code is in there and I can add it...but MAME has a very different input model than LJP.
So I add it all and how do I know if it works?
Without a device it is an awful lot of work that requires several dedicated testers and significantly more time to implement.
With the hardware I can have everything working in a couple hours at most. If someone really wanted gamepad controls they could send one to me.

Sorry, I didn't even think about international shipping.
Well I got my controller and it works great except the buttons are messed for SNES, but from looking around that's already well known. I don't really want to update versions again, I have rc8, unless someone can confirm the latest version of rc9 works perfect on a treo 650. I already have memory issues sometimes and I hear it's worse on memory. PS I did buy UDMH.
