LJP 1.0 final is released just in time before LJX hits the road with a big foot ;D You will find it here: www.metaviewsoft.de/wordpress together with a list of changes. Something to note: the ROM selection doesn't stick over different systems (it does for the last selected system), seems I need to fix it. I will post an updated .prc and the fixed source file in a minute or two.

Cool ;D
Would be great if Hans (if available) could update the official site since I'm not at home.

Ok, the selection is fixed now. It will remember the last selection for every system. During this I also managed to reenable the in-launcher music. There were some fixes to do but finally I managed to get it back to work. As a result the star field should be bug lesser too. Well, I forgot to add my name into the star field...

Hi Metaview... Just been checking out LJP 1.0 and have now noticed a problem in SMS emulator reguarding the key configuration...The selection now has a Unused Key??? and in game the direction (5-way nav) no longer works.... This emulator worked correctly under rc9. Could you test this out please and see if its just me or if it is a genuine bug.... Thanx for everything LJP mate

metaview you ma want to check out your blog, someone commented it with a bug.
" 1.
Hello !
First, I wanted to say a big “Thank you !” for maintaining and improving this wonderful app. I enjoy it a lot and it’s always cool to have a good emulator in my pocket for when I have time to kill with some Puyo-Puyo or similar.
There’s just some weird bug with Tungsten T3 that has appeared in a couple of recent RCs : When I select a game from the launcher, no matter which position the T3 is in - either closed or opened - LJP take the whole 480 vertical display. If I enter the on-screen menu and then return to the game, the behaviour is back to normal - display on top 320lines when T3 is closed or all 480 when T3 is opened to reveal the silk screen.
Also I notice some locks and freeze (inside the virtual console - the actual palm software is stable) when playing Puyopuyo2. Do you know if there’s an update to the GenesisPlus core that fixes it ?
Then again, thank for your work on this app.

Thanks for the update, Metaview! You saved me from having to write a bug for the "about" starfield screen (it was crashing on my Treo this morning). And I love the launcher music! Great job.

countbuggula: Star field works now for you? It did always for me.
samphex: I know, but is it really a bug? If I find the time i will test it on my T3, but not now.
nescafe22: then it must be already a bit older. Have you reassigned the keys? Still not working? Well, it doesn't here too - and the start-button is missing. Maybe some people could make a list here of not working keys in which system...

Hi Metaview... Just seems to be a problem with sms an gg emulators.... All others seem ok..NGP has also a "unused" key in configuration now but the emulator still works fine.. This strange problem was not in RC9 as I have been using that version since you released it with no problems in sms or gg.!!!! Could it have been caused with the inclusion of multiplayer selection?? Cheers Aaron

No, it might be introduced when I adjust the button layouts to work all the same with the BT gamepad. The "unused" key comes from it. Anyway, I'll check it tomorrow.

countbuggula: Star field works now for you? It did always for me. It worked for me as well in the past, but for some reason crashed when I ran it with the first version of 1.0 final. This one's got it all ironed out though!

No, not bluetooth multiplayer for all modules with two palms. That would make it 2.0.
That would even rock just for NES!

Using my T3 I always get the SNES error message "Failed to alloc", "6144kB FtrMem for ROM", "Stack use 10%". I never had an out of memory error before. Is this a bug? Even with UDMH, reset, etc I can't start anything... :-(

setsuna203: FtrMem doesn't mean UDMH. Do you have enough free mem at all? Try to disable UDMH for LJP, it isn't necessary on a T3.

I noticed that on the when using the bluetooth gamepad for simultaneous 2 player in Genesis that the bluetooth gamepad overrides the PDA, and controls both players 2 and 1 at the same time. It works fine in NES and SNES on my 755p. Is this a bug, or is there something I need to do. I tried it with both open and closed configurations and the gamepad still overrides whatever player 1 is doing. If player 2 is not doing anything however, player 1 is free to do whatever, but once player 2 does anything it overrides player 1.

hm, sounds like a bug. Ever tried to switch conole player using the reset-button in the belt-bar?

Yeah, I tried switching players with the reset button, and when I switch to player 2 both the bluetooth gamepad and the PDA control player 2 and there is no player one control, but when I switch back to player 1 it goes back to the gamepad overriding the PDAs controls. I also tried this with a bunch of other 2 player games such as Contra, Sonic 3, Battletoads and Eternal Champions, and experienced the same results except the gamepad wouldn't work at all with Eternal Champions. Is there anyone else with a bluetooth gamepad experiencing the same results?

Metaview, is it supposed to say Rc9 on the top f the launcher? nothing in ljp works, I am assuming I did not switch the ljp prcs correctly?

oh and by the way metaview, I think it would be a good idea to have an option to view last 10 roms you have played. it could be a choice in the dropdown menu in the launcher
Edit: one more thing. is there a reason we have to install ljp like this? can there be an ljp installer?(a bigger ljp prc which comes wiht all the zems and installs all of them into the folders)

I used to make a PSI version of my releases, I think there were those for RC1 and RC3. That's for Palm-newbies though, not lazies I really think it's easier to drop some files on the card then launching a program and wait for it to install stuff. You're sending ROMs and stuff all the time anyway, so it's not that much of an extra bother IMO. Nevertheless, LJX modules are PRCs so you juse send/HotSync the ones you want and it will overwrite them as needed. About the last 10 ROMs, it's a cool extra, but I don't think it's worth adding that to LJP's already cluttered interface and launcher code. Alas, i don't touch LJp anymore so let Henk decide on what he think's it's worth his while

setsuna203: FtrMem doesn't mean UDMH. Do you have enough free mem at all? Try to disable UDMH for LJP, it isn't necessary on a T3. OK, that was the problem. After cleaning up some mem I can run everything just fine, but still the wide screen mode doesn't work on my T3... :-( Are you going to fix this?

I doubt he is Look to LJX for widescreen. I"m thinking he should remove it from the UI though, so people don't try it (after all, we're at version 1.0 now... everything visible should function (time to remove widescreen options, TG16)

agreed.. remove TG16 (and its auto creation of its directory)
