Um, yeah. You, like, go in CONFIG and then INPUT. You can change the mappings there. The problem is that the key codes for left and right differ among different devices, so the defaults may not work for you. For everyone's information, LJX will have some magic code for checking device and doing good default key-mappings In time, I expect someone to be able to just toss a ROM somewhere and open it, and be able to play right away without *having* to mess with configurations.

But people can still change the key-mapping configs when they don't like LJX's style, right?

Of course. That's why *having* was emphasized. This reminds me of another feature that really belongs in the launcher: a database of known config settings for games -- for example, all games that use the Z80 processor in genesis would automatically get that checked (it could be disabled manually).

Speaking of which, in the latest LJP, the audio setting for Genesis which allows "Fast" or "Z80", when I uncheck Fast and change it to Z80, it would work, but after I leave the launcher and run LJP again, it would seem like LJP is unable to save and keep the Z80 setting for Genesis, it would go back to Fast again, problem is, audio won't work for my games unless it is Z80.

You can currently set those settings on a per-game basis Just click on the System button to switch to per-game mode and make your changes.

That's something of a goal for another version In which there would be a complete ROM database so that the title shows up instead of the file name and such. The databases would be converted from something like GoodGBX and stuff like that to a format that LJ understands and can be expanded to include per-game default configs, which would be filled by the community mostly Hold your horses though, there's still a launcher/GUI to make! And I really wish I had a good design idea for a GUI that works in the launcher AND in-game. Somewhat tricky though since they would be separate apps and some stuff only shows up in one or the other.
