Hello,
Many LJP versions ago I used to be able to play games like Earthbound without having to use specific lower-performance settings.
I get bad performance with the required settings...
My question is if I was to load one of the older LJP versions which I used to have on my device, will I once again be able to play these games with my own settings? I.E... CPU Core=ASM and not C, and not get the red screen?
Thanks

The answer is: possibly. Try the following versions: 0.9 1.0RC2 1.0RC3 1.0RC7 1.0FINAL

Yes I think the ASM core in Genesis might be bugged in the latest releases.

No luck with the older versions. I deleted the PRC from my device memory and the LJP folder in /program files, and did a fresh install for each 1.0RC2, 1.0RC3, 1.0RC7. I am still getting the red flashing screen for certain games which I never used to have problems with. It must be a device issue and not a LJP-version issue. I went from a treo 650 to a 700p

If your games are zipped, you might have an issue where the compression method used by your zipper has changed and the new version is incompatible with LJ*'s unzip routine.
Usually the OP's sort of problem has to do with leftover game-specific ini files though.
