anyone who is running SNES full speed please just tell me what you did to achieve this. and dont just say "i use UDMH and warpspeed" tell me what your settings are in that. what is your A in warpspeed and what is your BUS in warpspeed. ive had my zodiac for a week and i still havent even gotten my first goal done yet.

I don't think you can get most games fullspeed easily.
- Fast renderer - Transparencies OFF - Fast Sprites ON - Sound *OFF* - Frameskip.
Also UDMH is completely useless in the Zodiac.

Well, warpspeed is a program you usually pay for. As any program you pay for there is a home website with a board and some people who use/know it pretty well and a programmer who support his soft. Perhaps the thread with no answers you seen just need to ask in the proper place to the proper person to get the proper answer I would personnaly wont help about warpspeed configuration because if i tell you "do this" and your handlet goes with a *poof* i would feel really bad. I guess its same for tinnus (but if you ask about Little john, as you see he know every option to answer the question about the program he worked on )

Most games run at a good speed on a 300+ mhz Palm. Through the use of Warpspeed I could get my brother's Zodiac up to a decent speed on such games. I gradually cranked up the speed until it was at the maximum it allowed without even a soft reset. After a few times of running ljp at this speed, it began to crash. (did a soft reset, no problem) He hasn't tried warpspeed since because he is okay with the lag he gets (he usually plays rpgs anyway). The only way to emulate snes on a Zodiac (in ljp's current state) at a speed with unnoticable lag is to overclock. As far as I know, UDMH won't speed up the emulation.

That sounds a little ominous. I've been overclocking my Zodiac since day one, July 20th 2004 and my zodiac is still fine today. I've been overclocking my xv6700 ppc device from 416mhz to 624mhz, it runs constantly overclocked 24 hours a day, since 7/06 and it is fine. Yes things can happen but as long as your smart about overclocking its fine. If your device is getting too hot then shut it down. Most devices will shut down on their own once they reach a certain temperature. My xv6700 ppc device will shut down automatically, but it has never had to do that. Remember manufacturers set the clock speed to a much lower rate than the device can handle. thats why overclocking works so nicely. The highest the Zodiac can be safely overclocked to is 240 mhz. Past that the chip won't handle it. Which is why I use Lightspeed as it can never go over any safe limits.
As to running SNES Tinnus hit it right on the head. You will never get SNES running full speed on the Zodiac but you can get most games running well within a playable speed. I've been using LJZ since the first day it came out. I use Lightspeed to overclock my Zodiac from 192mhz to 237 mhz when I play LJZ. Lightspeed is a very simple and effective overclocking utility and was just recently updated. The key effects that will effect the speed of SNES is exactly as Tinnus stated.
I love LJZ and look forward to see what Tinnus will do with the LJR project. I'm lining up all my ROMS for that sucker when it ever comes out hehe.
