Please help, Newb questions

Okay so heres the deal, My dad and I got a palm pilot tungsten E2 for my 10 year old sister for christmas and we would like to put LJP on it so she can play some mario games for snes but both of us are pretty unknowledgable when it comes to computers and we're really confused right now. I tried installing 1.0 but it kept on giving me a memorymgr.c Null error when ever I tried to launch a rom, even after 4 reinstalls so I decided to try .7 but that says "can not launch rom" and "out of memory"(this is especially puzzling because the pda's internal memory is 82% empty) every time. I've tried it with multiple roms but with no sucess on any. All roms are in the correct folder in .zip format. If someone could help me to get either version running that would be excellent.
