Thanks. Anyway, I think that if it runs on my T|E, it'll run anywhere Hehe just kidding. There are factors like screen size, blah blah blah. I plan on borrowing some code from yoyo's ZDoomZ, ZQuake and ZHexen if he doesn't mind ;D

Hey, that's really nice to hear! I think more palm developers are finally doing some cool homebrew stff. Before, people made some apps and puzzle games(although some are cool) now it looks like more is coming. Well you might be the only non zodiac owner doing that though tinnus LJP, zDoom, zHexen, zQuake, were all done by yoyo of course, with his zodiac ;D and you have things like PalmMAME, and all skeezix stuff, and they are all zodiac owners hehe. Maybe this is a new movement, and maybe more Palm developers will do it too. I think PalmOne or PalmSource should thank Tapwave for bringing in so much games to the PalmOS, because I dont think any of this would have seen the light of day without the Zodiac to bring in all the cool developers.

Tinnus, I think the 'framework' I have started to code can help a bit. Basically it's based on skeezix stuff and the tapwave libs (runtime & msl c/c++). duke 3d should work on palm but it will be probably slow & need udmh since even 8MB dynamic heap devices will be too short. I wanted to release the "ydk" to let people code pno as easily as tna. If you want a "beta", I can send you the source. it will be easier for you than to start with zdoomz or zquake sources.

Hey Tinnus... I don't mind if I have to hard reset my device... let's begin with beta testing when you have at least an alpha version... well... in that case it would be an alpha testing... hehehehe... I have a TT3... sooner I'll have a TT5... just for the records...

I'm almost getting to produce a zduke3d.zdk file. I hate the CW linker. ;D
As soon as it's available for testing I'll post it here and in the thread at ZodiacGamer.

tinnus, I don't had time to produce a pno template with my small framework, but you can use zdoomz 1.2 or zhexen 1.1 sources. It should have now all the basic stuff : - multiple blitters for 320x320, 480x320, 320x480 soft rotated (for T3 & devices not working well in real landscape mode) - 'stdlib' like file support (fopen, fgetdate, remove, ...) - sprintf & other basic unix function support (trough tapwave libs, but working on standard pos 5.0 devices) - midi playback though timidity - basic gui stuff (menu_info, menu_button, ....)

Thanks yoyo, I'll use ZdoomZ 1.2. Now the news for you ZDuke3D enthusiasts (yeah, the name will be ZDuke3D ;D): Looks like I'm starting to get the hang of PalmOS programming and it seems now that I'm able to do more than copy and paste code. Proof is, I've managed to change the launcher so it looks for the Duke3D files in the Duke3D folder instead of the Doom files in the Doom folder. Quite a progress I've decided to do everything right from the start this time. For those that do not know, I gave it a try before and screwed everything up. So the first thing I did in this version was making sure the original Doom sources compiled. Well, they did ;D. Next thing, porting the launcher. Silly me, wanting to port the game itself while still getting data from the Doom launcher. I'm sure a lot of stuff would work this way So I just need to do two things to complete porting the launcher: Changing the controls list and finding a way to filter the non-gamepack .CON files (game.con, defs.con and user.con). By the way, everything besides that is perfect (in the launcher only of course), including the screen top logo and the icons

1) weird bug in the launcher, trying desperately to kill it 2) doing some great work for LJP, just wait 1 or 2 days and you'll see 3) buried in real work It's going great apart from this ;D

Well... I'm finally gaining confidence in PalmOS programming so I should continue Duke3D soon... but I must finish what I started in LJP (I have a lot of stuff half-done here). Meanwhile, enjoy SMS emulation
