i guess making them fill the screen should be great, so the "corner" stay as "corner" and dont "fly" in the middle of the screen

btw. this is cool, when i load the last episode of atomic edition, you get a movie and the palm goes : "ERROR: 'something about the cache' " and afterwards a nice white/orange messagebox that says 'crash'. After waiting a few moments the movie continues and the level starts;) Debuglines maybe?
ps. This is on my T|C haven't checked the E jet.
pps. Oh man, I really love duke on my pda! (and I just bought the real atomic ed. files on cd from a big box with oldgames for 10 cents!)

The error about the cache is because you run out of it. Therefore the memory allocation will fail. I usually expect a crash then. That's why I've added the "crash" output which must be acknowledged before the app continues. If it doesn't crash afterwards, you can call you lucky :-) The amount of cache actually depends on the amount of free dynamic ram, but not more than 5MB, IIRC, to prevent users of NVFS devices from getting too much "can't allocate" messages. Reason: On devices with NVFS, UDMH reports completly carbage when you ask about the free amount of dynamic memory.

Metaview.... simply amazing... excellent work, even with ZDoomz(you also update it! ) But I have just one more complaint... ZHexen and ZQuake also need the on-screen buttons streched...

Thanks Metaview for changing the controls to allow look+ and strafe+. Much appreciated and making my gameplay even better. Duke3d has some beautiful Total Conversions available and has made my #1 favourite FPS for my Palm now. zQuake would almost be tied for 1st if I could get it 320x320.
Thanks again.

IMG duke3d runs so d**n smooth on my 'new' T3, now I really know what difference the keyboard on the TC makes (same processor). Any one wants to buy a TC?

snempaa: How much do you want for it, that's the question...
All: What's the matter with the screen buttons on ZDoomZ?

I've had an offer of 150euro's on 'marktplaats.nl', sort of (dutch) ebay without the binding bids. I don't think you want to pay more;) But if you do, let me know!
btw. I also sold my T|E for 90euro's and bought a new T3 for 140e. (i just want to try all palms, but i'll stick to the t3 for now)

150 sounds a bit high for a TC. Never mind :-)

angel, I should do it, right. I haven't updated Quake and Hexen yet. Because I'm too busy with paid work and a XPDF port.

Question about Duke Nukem Mods....I've found some good total conversioins for Duke3D and LOTS of them work great (some are a little glitchy). For anyone looking there are a collection of good ones with reviews and links to downloads here: www.planetduke.com/msdn/tcrev.shtmlYou may need to register a FREE account at Fileplanet to complete some of the downloads. I'm currently playing 'Duke it Out in DC' and highly recommend it. Funny thing is all I needed to do was add the .CON file into the Duke3D folder on my SD card (no .GRP) and it added this single-episode conversion to my game menu. I've tested a few others and some work well and some have problems causing a reset. A few wouldn't load at all. One of the highest reviewed TC's available at the planetduke site is Starship Troopers. It looks great, but when I download and install it there is no GRP file and several CON files. The rest is a collection of "Microsoft Serialized Certificated Store" files, plus WAV, ANM, ART etc. It works on my PC. My question for anyone and especially Metaview is.....Is there any quick and easy way to run this with the Palm version of Duke3D when there is no GRP file and 4 CON files? I'm thinking in terms of the 2-line .duk file created to run mods. Some way maybe to alter the .duk file to direct it to the oter files since there is no GRP. If you have any ideas I could play with it a bit and try it out.

kayge: Here is a tutorial. I will put it on my website, whenever the server is up and running again. BTW, it really looks cool. This is a short description how-to add total conversions to the game, when you haven't got a .grp file. We us the great Startship Troopers Total Conversion (short SST) as example: SST comes as an archive and contains an installer executable for DOS and Windows. We need the single files, which are creeated during the installation. First, we create a fresh folder with the original Duke3D and install SST into it. Now we got a lot of new files which we want to combine into a sst.grp file. Therefore, we need the program Kgroup.exe. The next is to copy everything which shall end into the sst.grp into a new directory. These files are: *.wav, *.art, *.anm, *.wmf, *.bin, *.dat and *.sst We call Kgroup.exe from the command prompt like this: c:\Kgroup.exe sst.grp *.* Now we rename GAME.CON into SSTGAME.CON to prevent a problem with the original file and create our Starship.duk, with an entry for SSTGAME.CON and SST.GRP. The files SSTGAME.CON, SST.GRP and Starship.duk are copied into the Duke3D directory on your memory card and we are done. Attention: SST uses .wav as audio files. Wave files aren't supported in this version of Duke3D for Palm OS. Please switch off the sound in the options screen of the Duke3D launcher.

Metaview this application is incredible. Almost every Total Conversion mod I've tried works now. I've seen in other threads people asking for more first person shooter ports. I'm looking at Starship Troopers on my palm now and playing Episode 1/Level 1. It works great and honestly if I can follow your directions for this, anyone can.
Thank-you very much. Now I have to finish Duke it Out in DC so I can start Starship Troopers.
PS. Any plans to include .wav support. (I know I'm being greedy now).

Wave will come (maybe together with cheating...), I didn't want to implement things which aren't used at the end.

I found 1 more TC using wave files for sound. Borg Nukem, it looks quite good. A Star Trek based conversion for Duke. It works with Duke3D for Palm, only no sound because its using .wav files.
Just wanted to give you one more reason to implement wave files in the future.
