Doesn't happen here. What exactly doesn't work?
Wave is on it's way.

I got the version with support for waves and so far it works like a charm. I've only tried it with the Starship Troopers mod and the sound is great. Lots of atmosphere and no errors. There may be a tiny bit of sowdown during large explosions, etc but hardly noticeable and well worth the depth that sound adds to this game.
Thank you very much Metaview. I've got a few more mods that I see use wav files for sound and I'll test those throughout the day today. If I run into any problems I'll report them here, but I'd say this is good for release.

update duke3d.prc !and! duke3d.zdk, the layout of the keyassign table has changed, you also need to reconfig your keys.
about cheats and doom, I know it. you could try to press "ok" and then press the home button. This might work. If not, wait for the fix...

The cheat codes on doom works... the problem is a extrange behavior with the onscreen keyboard and the console window...

I've updated Duke3D. Have fun. kayge: How can I solve the first level? I stuck in the bay 3 but can't open the doors. I can take the elevator into the first floor and there are 3 buttons, but what ever I try to do, the doors are all shut. And 5 minutes are a very short time...

ive followed your instructions, and when i go to user maps, there are like loads of maps and options, and i find you have to go on each one sepretaly, can you not do something like doom, that you chose your game, and then it automatically plays the whole game, like a wad list, but for duke make a .grp list??

? You follow which instruction? There are 2 different things: Custom Maps and Total Conversions. Total Conversions come as .grp and .con files.

yeah, i have total conversions, i have the .grp, and .con files, put it in the duke folder on the palm, i launch the game, then i go to user maps, and there are like loads of 'things' there, have i done someting wrong
(of the things' if i load one it gets to one level, quit then the next will take me to anoter level, can you not make list of grps at the begining of the game, or have i done something wrong?)

Have you read the sentence about "How to add modifications"? The .grp and the .con are connected. Create a .duk file, where you point to the grp and the con file. Just like you would call the original duke exe.
I wonder that you have the levels in your duke folder. They should all be inside the corresponding .grp file. Only single custom levels have to go also in the duke folder. But maybe you are browsing the .grp file?

Metaview, when you get off the elevator go to the 'Security' room at the end of the hall past the windows looking out to the planet, this door is not locked. There are 3 red buttons inside, press the middle button and the one to the left of it. A panel will open on the wall to your right now with a large square gray button. Press (or shoot) the gray button and the elevator in the hall will now come. Take the elevator and continue on this level. There is still a fair ways to go, but after you try a few times, 5 minutes is plenty. ( I do the whole level in about 4:45.)
Episode 2 down on the planet gets quite hard. The bugs seem impossible at first, but lots saves and I think I'm almost through.
I'm totally addicted to this TC now. If many people start playing there may have to be a seperate thread for help.
Good Luck, I hope this answers your question.

kayge, thank you very much, will try it out later on today. And yes, it would be great to start a new thread about: Help and discuss SST TC :-)

There is a file: "How To Setup Modifications" inside the archive. Have you read it? Here it comes again:
If you have game modifications and want to select them into the main menu:
1. You need for each game modification a .duk file. The .duk file is a text file containing 2 lines: CON=.con file name GRP=.grp fiel name
for instance for the Penthouse Paradise modification: CON=PPAKGAME.con GRP=PENTHOUS.grp
2. Put the .duk file and all the necessary data files in the /PALM/Programs/Duke3D folder on your memory card.
3. Default game will load the GAME.CON and the DUKE3D.GRP

Just to add to that. The .duk file saves on my SD card as eg. PENTHOUSE.DUK.TXT. It maintains that .txt extension being a text file. Easily fixed in FileZ. Pull up the file and take the .TXT off using FileZ on your Palm. It will now show up in your Launcher window.

This is a bad behaviour of Windows Notepad. Even worse if you disable the show of known extension. You will never know how your file was called.

Or, you can use " when saving files in notepad... I mean "penthouse.duk" will solve the problem.
