Great work! In my opinion this thread should be stickied. I think every Palm / LJP or Both newbie will love you for this video. Please move the "Wiimote setup" to episode XXX .

Hm, maybe I should have that stickied. BTW Metaview should also be a moderator, but since I'm not an Admin...

Have you ever even changed that Tinnus? ;D It says "LJP Hacker", this qualifies me as able to hack into LJP's code, not proboards

I wonder if Dmitry could patch an accelerometer into a TX or Lifedrive.... Actually, an accelerometer in a sync connector nub would actually work! Then we could play Kirby pinball and other GBC games that depend on such a device, as well as use Palms to replace Wiimotes

Hey guys, I finally busted out my TX again after becoming increasingly bored at my work (magazine kiosk). After playing a bit and getting annoyed at some of the issues I was having, I upgraded to the wiimote 1.2 version, excited to try out the wiimote when I got home.
However, after I synched the wiimote, I could assign the keys but everytime I'd try to launch a game, it would synch again (the LEDs were even lit up the way I customized them) but the keys would be unresponsive. The on board keys still worked as mentioned in some thread on here. Also, I though the nunchuck would work but I guess I'm mistaken?
I would VERY MUCH like a guide (even a quick typed up one) about setting up the wiimote, because I don't want to have to wait for the video :C
I'm also having some sound problems with some games. In FF3, I can play sound if I have it enabled from a reset, but if I load a state, the sound goes away :[
My warpspeed trial ended, but I was wondering if it's worth it to buy it for 10.95 or w/e. I do haave screen whine and with sound it skips a good deal of frames, but otherwise msot games run fine.
Pleeeeease help me get the wiimote working D: It would be totally awesome to show that off at work xD

No nunchuck. If you Save a Save state with sound OFF in SNES, you cant put sound back on when you load it. This is because the sound coproccessor is out of sync. Instead, save it in the ingame save and load that file with sound. If the wiimote shows the LEDS, the something is wrong there . Metaview, Lukas, or someone else is more knoweldgeable there...

Help! I have a treo 700w. I have the ljp folder, both zipped and unzipped. I can see ljp.prc, but I can't get my treo to hotsync so quick install does me no good. activesync works, so the files make it to the device, but the device just sees them as unrecognized files...

K, here's my problem. My memory card slot went out on my treo 650. I can't get it to work at all, so I cannot use my sd card to hold my roms.
Is there any way for me to hotsync the roms onto my palm to work on LJP???

...or I guess I should ask is there anyway for me to be able to run LJP w/o an operational memory card slot???

Yes; you have to use something like E2InternalMemory -- not sure if there is such a thing for the 650. What it does is makes a virtual "internal" card that shows up in the OS just like an external one. You'll have to do a lot of searching and testing to see if this'll actualy work on a 650 though... I suspect it won't. Easier to repair the card slot.

Cool,I looked into what you told me about and it works with the treo650
I downloaded "E2internaldrive" and it shows up in my card info directory as:
Card: BUILTIN Type: DiskOnChip Size:18.0 MB Free of 23.7 MB
lol, now here's a new problem. I am not terribly savvy with these types of things, and I don't want to be a trouble but how does it work?

...So I guess I need to know how to transfer the necessary files from my pc to the virtual card on my phone.

Or, you can just sync files to the internal drive by tagging them with .jpg and renaming them using Filez, Resco Explorer, or something similar afterward. Or, you can use WiFile, Resco Explorer, or some other similar tool to just transfer the files to the card via your network connection. Using card reader or the one that comes with the LifeDrive and a few Tungsten devices for free is probably the fastest and most painless way though.

I just got done beating Zelda on the NES and the emulator works awesome. Its extremely user friendly and the interface is great.
I am having a problem with the snes emulator though. I've tried running several roms I get an error:
cannot sys_alloc 131072 bytes free ram:174/88KB Stack use 10%
then I push okay and then it says "out of memory"
I assume I dont have the memory in my phone to run the roms but I thought I'd ask.
I'll try some of the other systems and see what happens. Great work though guys. LJP is awesome. It beats all the stupid palm games I've found so far and when I accidently hit the home key with my fat thumb it dosent exit my game (Yes!)
...
Tried out the Master System and its working okay.
Okay, just tried the genesis emulator but it isnt reading my roms. The Genesis dosent even show up on my list. It's only showing NES and SMS but no GEN.

Please read the sticky threads They'll tell you all you need to know. Of course, most people get confused regarding the phones and the NVFS thread, because it titles itself as being for Lifedrives and T|Xes. Just follow the suggestions for the T|X: UDMH is required, CleanStart (replaces UnCache and is free) is a good idea, and PXA Clocker or WarpSpeed are highly recommended for SNES and Genesis. You'll probably have the same error with Genesis you're having with SNES. Then again, if you have a really old phone (you don't mention the model), it's possible it's a RAM-based system and not NVFS. In that case, your problem is indeed that you've got too much stuff on your phone.

If anyone here has the Pre with Classic, could you make one of these vids showing any differences in installation between that and an older device with Palm OS? Also maybe give a little demo of how smooth and playable the games are with the Pre. I'm not sure whether I should get the Pre or wait for the Nokia N900 which runs maemo (debian based) and NES/SNES emulation is one of the deciding factors. Thanks.
