Hi fellow Palm users...I have been running,i think, every available computer and console emulator on my T3...LJP is probably the best for its varied consoles, but there are many other good emulators around as well..If anyone would like advice on any of them, i will be willing to help out.All these emulators work on the T3 and have been tested with countless roms....ARMPALMSPEC-CASTAWAY-COLUMBO-COPACABANA-FIRESTORM -FRODO-GIZMOULTRA-GUINEAPIG-LJP-MYUAE-PALMUAE-PMAME-ARMZX-COCO...AppalmII works but not configured for 5-way navigator...I look forward to the new release of LJP as it is my favourite emulator but would love to see a C16/Plus 4 and a Atari 800xl emulator, and maybe even a Vic 20.... P.S..I have also created a way of running ZX81 roms on the palm, such as 3d monster maze and avenger...If anyone else is a saddo like me and wishes to know how, all you have to do is ask!!!!

i guess there is no emu other than LJP with snes support? i dont mind playing the other games on just the 5 keys my treo 600 gives, but if LJP had keyboard support it would be perfect. cant play fighting (my fav) and other games with just those buttons.. plus that puts wear on them also... and i'd rather use a keyboard to move upon other things :-D
and great job ::gratz::

LJP is the only SNES emulator around, and, please, do NOT ask for keyboard support as we already said a bzillion times it's 95% likely not possible.

It's in the to-do list already.
Oh and dodgygeezer, I've edited you post because it was messing the layout. Just added a line break in the middle of that giant word you wrote ;D

A port of the Sega-CD module from Gens would allow me to die happy . But you already knew that.

JJesusfreak01: it needs one with a Treo to do it, everything else is too difficult. Who could spend it's Treo to Tinnus? but be careful, he will probably break it in an hour :-)

You are too funny. Is this true Tinnus? Will you break anyones Treo if they send it to you for testing? Thats not very nice.

Hahaha, no no, not true. My Zod came with problems to start with and my T|E is starting to show its age (and poor manufacturing of Palm). Of course, the work of me borrowing one (and returning it) would be too big to be worth it, and besides there's no guarantee it would work Better to find a programmer that already has a Treo

Does anyone have any nominations for a new site manager and programmer?

No, I didn't say you have to replace me, I just said you should find a programmer with a Treo to do the Treo keyboard support

I have firestorm, and with that you can just download files like mariotennis.gba and drag that file right into your memory card and play it. could you make that happen for LJP?

Uh... If I understand correctly LJP already has this feature. And you're in the wrong topic.

Hi there...Does anyone know if Skeezix reads these message boards?? If anyone is in contact with him, could they ask him if he ever completed a version of Columbo emulator that had a numeric selection menu so all games could be started on it!! Thanx very much to you all...

I don't think he worked on the Colecovision emulator any more than what he released; however, the next BIG release of LJP will have a colecovision module. Gather suggestions for it since I never had a coleco

Hi Tinnus...Glad to hear you will include a Coleco emulator as part of LJP. The emulator worked on by Skeezix was pretty good, the only thing that really let it down was that some games could not be started as there was a lack of numeric keypad. These game could be started on Colem emulator but it was not as refined as Columbo. There was also a lack of full screen option. These options would be great if included on BIg version of LJP...Thanks

The code used will be the same as Columbo and Colem so it should turn out pretty good

Has anyone heard of a Palm Sierra engine emulator? I remember seeing it several years ago but as it only worked with an SD card (and my own device didn't have it at the time) I never downloaded it. It had the capability to run the old Sierra Kings Quest, Space Quest, and Liesure Suit Larry games. I've got both the complete Space Quest and Kings Quest collections and would love to bring them around with me on my Palm but the web site I had previously found it on doesn't seem to exist anymore. Anyone have the program still or know where it can be found? Or has anyone else even heard of this?
Thanks!
edit: Now that I think about it the engine also ran some of the very early LucasArts adventure titles as well.

There's 3 different simulators you're thinking of... LucasArts is ScummVM, and there's one simulator for SCI files (newer Sierra games) and one for AGI (older Sierra games). Can't find a link for a PalmOS FreeSCI port right now, but the other two are linked above Also, don't forget Frotz

Has anyone else tried the AGI emulator (Sarien)? I've tried KQ1 and 2 so far with no luck. KQ1 crashes immediatly and KQ2 loads and runs correctly (as far as I can tell) but the graphics are incorrect. Looks like it's trying to render 320x320 on my Treo 600 so I only get a quarter of the screen. It's possible it assumes OS5 devices will all be hi-rez and scales up...
The guy who wrote the program stopped development a few years ago when he lost his own Palm device. He says he'll proviede the source to whoever needs it though if someone wants to fix the bugs. My own programming knowledge is limited to BASIC and a VisualBASIC class I took in college, but I'd be glad to help in any way I could if anyone wants to take a look at this.

As for Sarien... I believe it is HR only.
