I don't think so...it doesn't state anywhere that HR is a system requirement and in several places in the ChangeLog it references several times 160x160 resolutions (for both color and black and white devices).

Hey I got Sarien working on my Treo600 but it took me going back to version .3 to function. Looks like the OS5 optimizations all assume you're on a hi-rez device so I have to use OS4 version...which means no 5-way support either. Knowing that it shouldn't be terribly difficult to fix if anyone is up to the task.
By the way I tested both KQ1 and KQ2 successfully on .3.

Just wanted to say there is another really good emulator that emulates a commador 64 on palm. Frodo for palm. It works great.

yes; I've tried firestorm at 520MHz... it's still too slow for anything but turn-based games.

Anyone know if a TI99/4a emulator exists? I long for the days of Parsec, Hunt the Wompus, and other favorites. It might not be possible at all given the fact that the TI had a keyboard and so you would likely need an onscreen keyboard to be able to do key strokes. Still, it'd be cool none the less!

www.zophar.net/ti99.html--If someone (was it metaview?) finishes porting DOSBox to PalmOS, we'll automatically get a TI99 emulator

Are you crazy? Really wanting to run an emulator INSIDE another?

What about the ti99 emu inside PC-emu inside Amiga-emu?

Hey... as long as the emulators work well and can handle the speed drop.... I know people that've run Windows emulators on a Mac inside VPC for years. They still tend to get 60fps....

Most modules of LJP are derived from PC emulators... except GB and NES I think. GB is derived from gnuboy, a Linux/BSD/Windows/etc. emulator.

...from the GP32 port. But I forgot the GP32 emu was actually a port. Thanks for reminding me

Does anyone know if there is a good working GBA Emu that would work decently on a Tapwave Zodiac?

Just a crappy one right now that you've gotta pay for. Someone will come out with one that's free someday.

Hmm... I was just wondering: would source code from emulators written for the GBA be useful on POS5? I know there are a number of open source emulators available for the GBA, and some of them include features that it would be really nice to have in LJP (like zoom and follow sprite).
If those in charge are interested and think it can be done, I'll dig up some of the code.

Hi all... Just wondering if anyone knows what has happened to Vilmos? The forum on Pocket Dimensions PalmMame site has been down now for the last couple of days!! Any help with tis one please??? Aaron I got it back together this weekend. The server crashed and took the forums with it then the idiots at the host suspended my account because too many people were trying to access the non-working board. I've slowly been putting everything back. The PalmMAME forum is pruned a bit, but the latest stuff is back. I'm also redoing the web page, so try the main page again now and all should work. If you still can't see it, you need to clear your cache.

Well now... this is interesting: desmume.org/The most interesting part of it is that I know someone who has compiled it for OS X and run it on a 600MHz G3 PPC processor. Emulating it on a fast Palm might not be as impossible as I've often posted on here.... although Dmitry's as-yet unreleased memory management system might be required to store all the run-time data.

_Em: never. DS = GBA + something better than a GBA Like most Nintendo consoles--all that have backwards compatibility, and the PS2, and the Genesis, well, you get the picture. Get 2 GBAs running and you might have enough speed. coder12: Probably no(t fast enough). The 32x is very complex and so slow to emulate. I will take a look at other Genesis emulators to replace the current one and might try 32x/SegaCD support--if not for Palm, at least for fast systems like PCs Add-ons that will be (tried to) implement in LJX: - Game Genie (all) - Zapper (NES) - Sega CD/32x (Genesis) - Whatever the CD add-on was called (TG16) New consoles that will (probably) (and tried to) be added: - Surprise ;D Consoles with backwards-compatibility - Genesis (SMS + extras) - GBC (GB + extras) - GBA (GBC + extras) - DS (GBA + extras) -- note that it does NOT have the GBC hardware, only GBA - PS2 (PS1 + extras) - Wii (GameCube + extras) - Atari 5200 (Atari 2600 + extras) - Others that are not from Sega, Nintendo or Sony.

I came across some information about DosBox palm emulation! People are actually working on this! Here's the sourceforge site for PalmDosBox. Here's an article about an early version of the port. This is a Dos menu navigator/explorer for Palm. Yes, you can now have a C:\ prompt on your Palm! ...Ok I was about to link to a forum on Emuboards, and was super excited that people were referencing you guys (Tinnus and Metaview) throughout the thread, and then I saw a post by Metaview. Obviously you guys already knew about this. Well...it's here for everyone else's benefit now. I will link here though. Someone in the DosBox forums is trying to write a dynarec for ARM cpu for DosBox, which should speed up performance considerably. If he's not already in cahoots with you guys, he should be.

I wouldn't mind a working DOS-Emu but I'm more into Amiga-Emu then slow IBM stuff...

Well, A2000 hardware would be a pain to emulate on the Palm; the original Amigas would be possible however.
The nice thing about DOS though is that it really acts like a virtual machine... really easy to run all sorts of old software, plus all sorts of command-line utilities. People STILL write quick hacks for DOS.

A2000 was an A500 in a big box, and both are A1000 with a newer kickstart as ROM and more memory. MyUAE and PalmUAE do already emulate them.
