Very nice work guys! Saving the config to an ini is a great idea, the whole thing feels far more stable.

Ok, lets post RC2 here.
Treo650 Asia version, Fresh install....
RC2 still crashes NES with info box: patternTOpix not allocated, crash
have to try UDMH to test SNES.
To all Asia version Treo650 user, I think turning the CJKOS addon off is needed as Heap are only left 1.xMB with CJK on.......(it was 4~5MB with CJK off I think)

I notice there is a TG-16 zem in RC2, but it is only 31kb big and launcher still says NOT SUPPORTED YET. Is that zem file there for a reason? Just wondering.

I've tried different settings and still crashes my NX60. So far I haven't been able to load any ROMs. The message most of the time is "MemoryMgr.c, line 3564, NULL handle".

For users of the PSI installer:
If anybody has problems with RC 2 crashing when selecting certain modules, make sure you delete all *.zem files out of the Palm/Programs/LJP folder before running the installer/ before hotsyncing the new version. (This error is caused by the installer which does not overwrite all zem files). Oh, and make sure you delete the older version of LJP before the sync.
For people having sensitivity problems with the Zodiac analogue stick:
If you think the sensivity of the Zodiac a. stick is to low (you have to press the stick to far in one direction in order to change direction or to turn a game) then try to recalibrate it. In the calibration menu you'll be asked to press the stick to the left, to the right, etc. Don't press the stick too far only around 1/2 - 3/4 way through. After that the stick should act much more responsive to sudden direction changes.
edit:
Great work. The RC2 is rock stable and all problems I had with RC1 had been fixed. I'll donate something in the near future.

I would try to Hard reset your palm and It could also be UDMH interfering you have the older version Also I set UDMH to 65000 on my T/5 thats the only way I can play Genesis And Snes Games.

Another report,
the buttons of Nag.Right and Nag.Left in LifeDrive that their code is 00080000 and 00040000, not the default Nag.Right and Nag.Left.

First of all, congratulations to Tinnus an YoYoFr- RC2 seems great! This release is really good news for all of us who rely on them to play all these games on our Palm devices. Anyway, on my TREO 650: NES: (Castlvania, FF3) Seems to work fine. SNES: no UDMH: variety of memory errors and lockup/crash w/ UDMH: (Chrono Trigger, FFVI, Super Metroid) Everything seems to work great! Everything seems faster and more stable. Excellent! haven't tried messing with any settings other than configuring the controls. GB: (gargoyle's quest) looks good GENS: (Sonic 3, Phantasy Star III) No sound, of course. And frame rate struggled a bit in Sonic, as you might expect. But otherwise very solid, Phantasy Star is certainly playable. Nice! NGP: (metal slug 1st mission) Played, but pretty sluggish; not suprising though, since NeoGeo tends to have only fairly crazy action games like mtel slug with tons of stuff going on on screen. WS: (FFI, FFII) These WS roms seemed to run just fine! I'm particularly psyched to play these souped up versions of the early FF's, so this was really good news to me. Seems to be no sound though, but no big deal. SMS/GG: (Can't even recall) Both of these still seem to run great. General notes: - These were mostly pretty quick tests, just through the startup screens and beginning playing. I'll report bugs I come across if it helps. But from what I can see, this is a really good, solid release. - NOTE TO TREO USERS: At first, I thought I couldn't get any ROMs to load, I kept getting info boxes saying "0136" and "013D" (see my notes on the RC1 thread). But I realized that if you click on "launch" with the stylus instead of trying to launch with the center button the ROMS load fine. The center button worked on the older versions though, so I got used to using it exclusively. Obviously not a big deal, but as a result of this I thought RC1 and 2 didn't work at all for awhile, so other people who are used to launching with the button may falsely assume RC1 is completely broken. Still, you know, it'd be nice if it did work again - I love the little bar- what did Tinnus call it? Anyway, saving and loading seems much more responsive using the bar than the old way. In the past, i used to have to click four or five times on "yes" everytime I wanted to save- it still seems to when I bring up the full screen controls within the emulator. But using the bar it all happens on the first try. Which is great. - ON the treo, configuring the buttons works, but the button it lists in the config screens are totalyl inaccurate. For example, it'll vall my phone button "memo" and my calendar button "contacts" or whatever. Again, can't say it really matters much, since in the older versions they were all labeled as a string of numbers. - I'm definitely going to give a little paypal love to the Tinnus zodiac fund: tinyurl.com/8peha It's the least I can do for all their hard work which benefits us so.

You can just back everything up before you hard reset and put it on their after but when you back it up don't back up ljp when you restore your palm do a clean instill of ljp and everything related to ljp ;D

It's because I mapped the names to the T|E's positioning; other devices may be different. I'll change it to Hard1, Hard2 etc instead, seems more universal.

Hi, I'm new here and I have a Treo 650. NES emulation works fine now with 1.0RC2. The SNES emulation crashes with these messages: Cannot sys_alloc 61440 Bytes free ram: 41/19 I tested Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger. My phone resets each time. I am not using UDMH. Also the Byte count varies each time.

So when you enter safe mode everything works fine If so it has to be something you have instilled and the hard reset wouldn't have done anything because you put everything back on when you restored all your programs and stuff or did you restore everything? P.S. I dont think your LD is out of money ;D

Deleting ROMS within LJP - System: Zodiac
I would not recommend deleting ROMS within LJP, it might lead to crashes which require to delete the preferences of LJP. (happened twice) Fortunally LJP RC2 makes a backup of its settings in a file on the SD card. So you don't have to reenter your settings after deleting the prefs.
Speed and other emu experience:
Genesis:
As already said Phantasy Star 4 works flawlessly with sound on (Z80 disabled) But it is a game where animationwise _nothing much_ happens. Sonic 1 is another Game which with works with sound enabled, but it is still to sluggish for my taste. Most games require the Z80 in order to produce sound output, but slow down to much if you enable this option.
Running Landstalker, Shining Force 1 & 2 results in a crash. In Shiningforce 1 + 2 it happens directly after the Sega logo, in Landstalker directly after selecting new game.
The collision in Vectorman is messed up. In Stage 1 Vectorman floats above certain platforms (I am not speaking about the regular invisible ones) and you are unable to damage certain enemies.
SNES:
Chrono Trigger works with sound enabled, better than in the previous versions, but it is still to slow to be enjoyable. The same applies to FF3 (6).

First,I should thanks for all the guys that make LJP 1.xRC comes to real, especially Yoyofr and Tinnus.
I am a chinese, pls forgive me bad english. I use a T5, and also upgrade P1's 1.0 rom.Of course I've installed CJKOS,penp, sharkswap, which will take much ram after my machine boots up. So I frequently get "out of memory" error even enable UDMH.
Now, my t5 can most stable to play SNES,GENS,GB,NES(other module not yet test),because of I shut down the software that I mentioned above. I guess they take much ram so LJP gets "out of memory" error.
For asia players, I suggest to run LJP and UDMH with "safe mode", that will makes t5 to save more memory heap and chunk to run LJP in a more stable environment.
At last, pls let me show my appreciate for you all,the parents of LJP. Thx for your hard work and pls keep on!!

I am having quite a few problems with my Zodiac. I left a NES game running when some urgent work came up without pausing. When I came back to it the machine had locked up and required a reset.
Also, as previously mentioned, I get a Fatal error when using the Home button to exit LJP.
Once I get into the games they run well. Apart from the NeoGeo Pocket. I tried playing Dark Arms and on Auto Frameskip it seemed to be jerking unless you held down a button, then it was smooth.
Thanks for all the hard work, and hope these issues aren't too hard to rectify.
