[HOW] 1/ install LJP prc file using "install tool" & "hotsync" or copy it in "/Palm/Launcher" 2/ at first launch, it will create all the needed directories & register the .zem extension. 3/ copy the modules you want (nes->ljp-nes.zem, gb->ljp-gb.zem, ...), ljp-stuff.zem and ljp-mikmod.zem in "/Palm/Programs/LJP" or use the install tool & sync.
there is no ljp-mikmod.zem in the ljp1.0rc2... can i use the 1 in rc1? another question is, do i need to install the mikmod and stuff? i did them the other time and the problem still exist... i will try it again now... hope it works...
edit: did all the things that sen mentioned and still having fatal errors... is it only happening to my nx70?

You don't need mikmod for RC2, mod playback in the launcher is disabled. (that should have been removed from the readme)

i have a bug on my zire 71 device. when using snes, the program works fine, but after a crash (and a soft reset) the program freezes right after startup. after deleteing the .ini file in the ljp-folder it works fine, until the next time it crashes btw: this is a BRILLIANT program, and i am hugely gratefull for the time you invest in the project

Try deleting the INI file AND app preferences (using FikeZ or ZLauncher for example), then perform a complete reinstall.

i have a treo650 and also the old 9.2T version and it works fine, speed ,sound, almost no resets etc.,so i'm not in a hurry to the LJP RC2 just yet with all the reports of bugs and all , i guess the only thing i'm lacking is better button configuration options,as this would be the only reason i would abandon my already stable version for this one......is the button configuration the same as ljp9.2T, or do you have more options for button(i.e. treo650 keyboard)?? thx in advance

Don't know if this has been reported already, but memory seems to be leaking in some of the modules when you access the OSD, I have noticed it in GEN,GB, and a little in Nes. Snes however seems to be perfect. Besides that, the whole program works great!!

You can't. But I'd say try 0.9.2T, tons of new features. If it doesn't work, revert.

besides my other question in the previous post,i tried to creat categories for my atari roms: palm/programs/Ljp/vcs/rom/favorites but ljp can only see the games in the rom folder and not my favorites one....how do I correct this problem?

Can't you select the category using the popup above the roms list?
About goodgbx and nestoy, they are used to show information about the rom you're playing (in the sys infos panel).

just a tip: if you are experiencing problems using the OSD (example: progam hangs after X numer of saves) try using the beltbar. enable it under the "other" button in the browser. if you stil cant see it, try setting the display to something other than the full modes (ex: x1 or x1.25 ...) i guess the osd bugs is caused by some kind of mem leak, but then again.. i have no idea about the workings of this great program.

RC2 appears to be more stable but I noticed on my treo 650 my games would hang after extended play. The game i played was Metal Slug 1 under NGP. I'm using UMHD(sp?) and the latest sw update from Palmone.
The OSD is still not responding at times but the game does not hang. I had to reset the phone to get out of the game.
Sometimes the beltbar would disappear altogether.
Prior to installing RC2, I deleted LJP thru the treo and the Zem files on the SD card. Is this considered a clean install?

Well, snes button config for treo 650 doesn't have a lot of great options. I have mine like this: A - Todo B - Memo X - Calendar Y - Phonebook L - S.BottomL R - S.BottomR UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT - obvious
Yea, it's not great but supposedly support for treo650 keyboard i in the works. The home and menu buttons would work well for left and right, or maybe evern the rocker on the side (might be a little akward to hold?)
Anyway - can't wait for that to happen. Any update tinnus?

Hey, Tinnus, what's up, thought I'd check in on here, it's good to see this new version is up, can't wait to d/l and try it out. I haven't been here in a while, wow. One particular thing about this forum is there notifications by email option like some other forums where I'd get email reminding to check various threads. Regardless, good to see such progress. I will definitely give this version a look.
However, big news, in the past few days as I've actually gotten my own PC now. As a result, for the most part I'l be enjoying emulation on my PC, as the 1Ghz processor is obvious allowing for more power than my little old Clie at 230 Mhz. Anyways, regardless of this, I still felt like coming back here to let you know I'll still get LJP and use it when the need arises. You've come a long way with the project and have done excellent work on it. Keep up the great work!

This version is very stable, i am using it on palm zire 72with lastest UDMH... no one crash after days of using(hours per day) . Emulation of SNES,NES,GB is realy good, but Sega consoles is needed more buttons than Zire72 have,is itpossible to bind graffiti area corners somehow?(they`re still not working after binding or not handled by emu correctly)

I've been loving SNES, but after I play Super Mario World or Mario Kart for about 15 minutes, it locks up. No error or anything, just a still frame. Then, same as everybody else, delete the prefs and go again.

My T|E too Sometimes it crashes randomly but that's all... I'm well aware there are still some undiscovered memory leaks going on anyway...

nothing works on my Treo 600 Palm smartphone (144Mhz ARM cpu)...when I click on LJP icon, the software shows me always a 'recover from crash or first time installing', then I click ok on this small window. After that, I'm stuck...anything I do or I touch (screen, buttons) will result in a small window saying 'more stable version handles crashes'...and it crashes 100% of all my tries. Used UDMH but nothing changes...anyone has an idea (I installed it through hotsync of prc ) Denis from Canada

Yes you need UDMH for SNES and Genesis. I suppose it says something like that in the readme? And the FAQ? Hmm... www.palmpowerups.com
