1.0 RC2 is too much of a pain on my LD. I stick with 0.8, which is stable.

tinnus have you considered moving to a garbage collection system? even just for one test release? it might be a lot of work, but even a basic system could find ALL your mem leaks for you, and you could apply it to a non-garbage-collected version

I have some plans to add a memory allocation control system... Since malloc() is custom-implemented for the PNO side.

hello, i'm new here. I just bought a treo 650 and installed LJP 1.0 RC2 and LJP 1.0 RC2 INSTALLER; however, there are no ROMS. I was wondering where i can get the ROMS or does the LJP program come with it

What do you mean by.. You only need to instill the instiller But about the Roms LJP doesn't come with them and you shouldn't ask for them here its against the rules But there not that hard to find there all over the place just do a little searching ;D

I'm sorry, I didn't know. I should read the guidelines before post, but thanks for introducing one of the ROMS sites to me

I recently just had this problem: I could use ljp with no problems until today, every module works fine except snes, whenever I launch a game from snes I get an "out of memory" error followed by a reset, this happens only when playin snes and I can't figure out why because nothing is different on my treo 650 since before this problem.should I delete/reinstall the .zem file for snes? I'm stuck please help!!

You are using registered udmh or still within the trial period, right?
Does snes work fine after a reset? Keep close tabs on your free RAM; if it goes down occasionally due to a memory leak, the soft reset gains it back.

This release (RC2) appears to have broken compatibility with Secret of Mana for SNES, now it doesn't seem to load when I select and launch the game from the launcher, and if I load a savestate from a previous version of LJP it either blanks the screen or displays a screen of when the savestate was taken, without anything actually running.

Maybe you should try freeing a little more RAM? It's weird...

with the 0.8 version i occationally missplace my camera pictures on the main memory and eat like 400kb out of it.
then after that i cant play my SLOW snes emulation. but when i move it to the MMS o can get the thing working again. with out that OUT OF MEMORY message.
hope this helps.

Just wondering,i have about 30-40 games in the snes module, does the amount of games matter or can you have an unlimited amount of games for any particular module w/o any problems??

I don't think it should matter. The only problem you'll run into is it might take a few seconds for the LJP launcher to list the games if you have them all under the same category. This happens to me when I go to the VCS because I have 500+ roms in there (I really should go through them and delete some. I haven't yet though because it only takes up 3.5 mb.)

IIRC there's a limit of 1024 (maybe 512) ROMs. It's hard-coded though, so I could expand it if someone actually needed more than that

i found out the problem, it was a conflict of software. hi_launcher was the culprit.....i just disabled it for ljp and after that i could finally load the snes module with no problems. i guess this could be a lesson for someone else; if you have strange behavior from ljp(for treo 650 users that is) that's unusual then check your hacks or any app that constantly runs in the background as this may be the reason or a contributing factor to your problem.....thanks anyway to all the help i recieved here, i'm sure i'll need it again soon!!

I do have another question: while in ljp when I push the menu key I get "0000" message then when I push "ok" it says "0105" and sometimes it resets afterwards, what do those #s mean??

Hello, i have problem with RC2 like a other people having Tungsten T / T2. version 0.9.2T work fine on my tungsten using udmh. but version RC2 doesnt work in all. i need a lot of memory free (11~12MB), without this minimum amount free, interface crash immediatly(without lauching rom). If i have < 11 MB, interface crash in all case. Only with touch screen with pen. in other case, when i launch rom i have crash also ... have you idea ? big modification of memory management since version 0.9.2 ?

One modification in launcher (categories) which is screwing everything. I turned them off for now for the sake of stability.

Any chance for a minor release version that just removes the up/down debug info being displayed. I'm guessing this would be an easy fix, with much benefit to end-users. thanks.

Secret of Mana is working fine for me. But I haven't tried to load a savestate from a previous version... Really? Which device are you running it on? I suppose my ROM may have gotten corrupted somehow, I'll have to try re-copying it over.

for the genesis module, and option to use either a 3 button pad or a 6 button pad. Interesting... i've played the genesis console only with the 3-button controllers. How many games can take advantage of the 6-button controllers? All of them? Just the games that were made after the 6-button controllers were introduced?
