Alright guys, I'm having a little problem where the assigned buttons arent working as their supposed to.
It seems to only happen with genesis and snes. Nes and Gb work fine.
The center cursor up down will work but not the buttons even though they are assigned correctly. (hard and touchscreen)
All my roms worked well until I updated to RC8 from like RC3 about 6 months ago. Then I began having this problem. I just downloaded the final version and replaced all the zem files and prc along with deleting all configuration data.
I am using a treo 700p. I also transfered my data from a 2gb sd to a 8gbsdhc.
Could my roms simply be corrupted? Has this happened to anyone?
On a side note.... Is there like instuctions somewhere compiled of what to use all the settings and how to set them? ie smoothing, transparency, cpu core, fast sprites etc?

you are going to have to juggle arounf the settings for performance .
Are you using the final version of ljp?(1.0 final)
try different roms to see if those roms are corrupted or not.
(You never know if they are corrupted or not)

The configurations are there so they can be changed, so just fiddle around and find out what works best for you. They're usually self-explanatory, and are usually a speed/compatibility tradeoff, for example the ASM cores are faster than the C ones but several games only work in the C versions.

I deleted all the ini files and configuration sets for all roms and I am using the final version of LJP.
Im going to try changing the core and settings like suggested.
I just truly hope my roms are not corupt because thats like 75% of them!
I'll try it out and will report back.

sinnedone, was it the config files? after replacing did it work?
a related aside: does anyone remember a conversation or read anything about compatibility regarding sdhc cards? i vaguely remember there being issues ... but maybe that was related to modifying treo 650s to be sdhc compatible and using apps stored on them?

Yes, I believe the newer models like 680, 755 or whatever the 7** number is, are compatible with SDHC, so probably someone's hacking the driver to work on older models. Can't say anything for sure, myself. Metaview can probably give more insight since he tends to be more up-to-date with the hardware ;D
1src is probably a good place to look as well.

I use a SDHC card (4GB) in my 755 with LJP. It hasn't given me any problems.

yah, i was going to do the driver mod on my 650 and read about enough people having issues with compatibility issues that i decided not to go that route till i got a spare to break first (LOL)!

Well
I swapped in my wifes sandisk 4gb class2 microsd card with an adapter from her Centro and everything worked fine in my 700p. Her card is basicly a copy of mine. I went ahead and copied all the roms over to my Adata class6 8gb sdhc and still the same problem.
It seems to be card related issue. They were both formated the same way. Im going to try a couple of things.
Anyone have anymore ideas?
I did delete all the configuration files and started from scratch too.

Question:Could you try to copy the ljp.ini (or however it is called) from the working card to the other? Don't know if it changes anything. Does other settings change are work? Maybe you might try to set up and down to left and right and try how this works.

Ok CHeck this out and tell me if its extremely strange!
I used a 4gb micro sd with sd adapter into my 700p. Now this is the card that was in my wifes centro and was working perfect. I tried it on my 700 and everythign worked as it should. All buttons etc worked.
The only thing was since the Centros buttons are arrange different I figured I'd go throught the setup process on the ccentro and copy the config file to my 8gb card when done. After I did this the same problem appeared!
Here come the strange part. If I assign the lower soft keys on the screen to start on either the genesis or snes everything stops working correctly. When I go back and assign the start (and maybe select on snes) to one of the hard keys everything works fine!
Im going to try it a little more to see if I can get something very specific.
I'll report back when I do. I hope this isnt a known issue case then I'd feel really dumb! lol

I doubchecked a little more and apparantly anything I assign to the onscreen buttons do not function. Whether it be select/start/left and right buttons. Anything assigned to a hard key will work but nothing assigned to the screen.
Anyone have any ideas how to solve this?
It also happened on my wifes centro with assigning the screen buttons so I'm at a loss.

There are cases where the author answers the forum just to tell people to go away when they complain, er, bug-report ;D about something... |

Have you been able to duplicate the problem Henk? It's strange because I never noticed it until someone here pointed it out... I tried to duplicate it and then suddenly did, and can't get the problem to go away.
