zem file has wrong version check install
version got 0400 wanted 1000
hello all! I have the emu on my 700p, it worked great forever, until my brother broke my sd card. Anyway I got a new one, and loaded this on again, and I can see the roms and it seems like it works.
But keep getting the errors above. I upgraded the version and now it does not work. I think I have to delete everything and start again, but am having problems doing so...
Can anyone help??
Thanks
Alex

You need to delete all your .zem files, your ljp.prc and all your .ini files (the one in /Palm/Programs/LJP and the ones in /Palm/Programs/LJP/<folder>/ROMs/). Then download LJP 1.0 from Metaview's site, install the .zem files and .prc file from there (PRC goes in RAM, .zem files go in /Palm/Programs/LJP) and you should be good to go.

How do I delete the memory in the internal memory? Every time I put a new version on my sd, it keeps linking to the original file. I think the palm file format stinks, I can't even figure out how to delete a file, and my hot sync stopped working months ago.
P.S. I thought I would get the most "I hate you" , but I am not sure why!?!
Thanks for all your help!!

That's the Palm Launcher screen, not LJP screen.

Mann, I am sick of my palm. I needed to get the java virtual machine, and I installed it, and now I got an endless loop. I did the press up and reset and now thankfully it turns on, but I am still having problems. It is sprint, and treo 700p, and I have had a few (since they all break) and they give me a refurbished one with different software installed on it, it will not hotsync at all for some reason. I appreciate any and all help. I trust all of you guys infinitely more than I trust sprint or palm. In fact, if I get a new phone what do you guys reccomend? (Palm centro/755, blackberry or HTC touch or the other one?
Mad love, and respect!

If you have a Zire 72 or a T|X, BlackBorder (freeware, canuck-software.ca) can make it black for certain apps.

I kind of like the Centro (except for that ugly strangely colored pink one) but the keyboard seems small. As far as an organizer phone goes: apple.com/iphonesorry, I just couldn't resist. *laughs maniacally* Oh, one last thing: did anyone notice how that annoying white border is gone on the centro? I did! The keyboard doesn't feel small after some use. MY mom likes the pink one because well...it's girly. I like the black one.

Yeah, they kept hard reseting, and then I synced it with my files and it keep doing the endless loop. I think it got messed up when I tried to put the java virtual machine on it, (which spring no longer lets you download, but they "suppport" it. To make an entire day-long story short, someone on tech support promised to just let me trade the 700p for a 755, and then I found out that he lied to me! So I am stuck with the same phone, and I have synced it back to about 8 months ago from a different computer. I need to find the install help for lpj as I totally forgot how I did it, thanks a lot, you guys make this a great place to hang out!

d**n sons, I got that installer on the sd and it worked wonders. I played some nes and then some gameboy, a few gb crashed it, but that is to be expected. I am so proud of the programming! I even got my lsdj to work!! I am now making chiptunes on my treo. It was the coolest thing ever to just load up contra while on break or whatever, and load 30 lives. Thanks!

Alex You should've been more persistent in getting that 755- that's almost exactly how I got mine. I called the Sprint store, tech promised me a replacement 755 because of all the problems I had with the 700p. I get to the store later that day and the manager denies that any of his techs would have ever promised such a thing. I argued with him for awhile, ended up with the name of the tech who I had talked to (and who had gone home already) and came back the next day armed with his name and a new manager to talk to. In less than 5 minutes I had a shiny new 755 - turns out the tech had accidentally put it in the Nextel drawer to await my arrival instead of the Sprint drawer, and the whole thing was a big misunderstanding. That and the first manager I talked to was an idiot and didn't know a thing about customer service.

I agree, but it aint over yet. I was thinking of just smashing the glass case and stealing one, and or filing a complaint with sprint. What are the actual differences between the 2? I think they are almost the same, other than the antennae has retracted. I believe that the 755 has some kind of java on it, because supposedly it will play youtube videos too. Anything else??

The guts are virtually identical, and there's no huge difference in software. It's a slightly more compact package, which is nice, but slightly less battery life, and the big thing is they've gotten rid of most of the problems (crashing/lag/bluetooth/etc) that plagued the 700p, especially if you get the latest ROM update.
Note - it is possible to flash your 700p ROM with the 755 ROM update, effectively giving you a 755 anyways (with an antennae though) and proving that the two are pretty much identical. There's instructions on how to do it in the TreoCentral forums.
Oh, and no Treo comes with Java pre-installed. Java wouldn't do anything for YouTube anyways - that's flash. If you buy the upgraded version of Kinoma player, though, you can play YouTube videos on even a 700p. I have it and think it's totally worth it.

Hmm, I would be scared to flash the rom, as it does not really seem like I have had much luck with my treo. The guy on tech support, said his 755p played (flash) youtube videos without a problem. Maybe he was just dumb. What do you guys reccomend for a java/flash software for the treo?

This is way off topic but it seems funny that you should try now if 755p or 700 is whacked you could get a centro

The only Treo Java software worth using (the IBM WebSphere software) is no longer distributed. This means that for new users, there is NO WAY to run java software on their device. There is NO flash player for Palm devices (There's a Flash 5 player for Sony Clies however). Kinoma Player and Core Player both play Flash Video however (including YouTube). I guess this is as good a use for this thread as anything... a long way from the original topic though

That flash player is the Sony Clie one for Flash 5, which Dmitry converted to run on regular PalmOS. It won't play modern flash content (what are we on now, Flash 8?), only stuff written in 2004 or earlier.

I think it is great I can't same d**n. Anyway I got the torrent for the ibm jvm, and it totally f---ed up my treo. It did the reset loop over and over and I have my stuff backed on another computer, every time I resync it messes it up.
