What device are you using? It's possible the folder is getting written to some other location (or your card has the lock tab on, so you can't write anything to the card).

Im using a palm treo 650. The memory card isnt locked. I downloaded the lpj from the website. Is there another way to download the program. I hotsynced the program. Then i ran the program from my memory card and when i look at the memory card from my pc there is no folder for the roms.

Well, then create them: /PALM/Programs/LJP/SNES/ROMS/ etc.

Of course, I'd also recommend downloading LJP 1.1 when Metaview's finished it, or 1.0 bugfix 1 if you don't want to wait -- 1.0RC8 from the official website is known to be buggy, and you only have to read the other threads on here to discover some of the bugs it has.
The other thing I've found is that running LJP from the memory card doesn't always set up the folders and associations -- sometimes you have to copy it to RAM to get everything to work correctly.

You first hotsync LJP from the main website (new download). Then, you run it. Then, you put your SD card in the computer. Then, you copy games to /palm/programs/ljp/[system]/roms/ replacing [system] with the system. Then you go back to your phone and tap on the LJP icon. Now there will be a list of games (from the systems you put games in). Tap on a game and press Launch to play. You will also need to set up controls in "Config" for each system.
BTW, the roms have to be .zip or the right extension. For snes and genisis, you will need UDMH and CleanStart (UDMH at palmpowerups.com, cleanstart at 1src.com and click freeware)

You install and enable them. For UDMH, you probably need to buy it.

You need to put the *.zem files and the other files in /palm/programs/ljp/. Sorry, forgot that :-(

There is a drop down menu in the top leftish area. It has all the systems you have roms for listed.
[EDIT] There is and "modify" button, so you don't have to triple-post :-)

Also: didn't I cover all this on page 1 of this very same thread? Well, except the how to use the LJP launcher interface. Sorry -- I'm starting to feel a bit peeved I guess that I finally decided to write out some very detailed instructions and now it appears nobody's actually taking the time to read them.

...and most of it is also in the readme or the Wiki. It's called "Docs" in the website for a reason

I took the time to read it... and it was very very helpful. Thank you _Em! But I still haven't had time to get any fun un-legalish games downloaded... still working on that.
But... I do have a PSP... and it is modified to play all the fun oldschool NES, SNES, GBA, etc. games... and it's friggin awesome! That's all I use my PSP for... don't use it for PSP games at all.

Wait...if you have a modded PSP playing those games, you already have all the ROMs you need! Just copy them from the Memory Stick to the proper directory in your SD card and you should be good to go!

The way you got roms ON the psp is the way you can get roms OFF the psp. Did you mod it or did someone else do it? Edit: Copy the files from your memory stick to your computer Copy the files from your computer to your SD card (Palm/Programs/LJP/<snes/nes/etc>/ROMs/ Do keep in mind that the cards are different; SD and memory(by sony) PSPs should come with a usb cable that can read the card onto your computer.

I had someone else mod it for me, so I don't know how he got the games on it... same guy that modded my Xbox. lol. I asked him to mod my cell phone, but he had never done it before, so hence why I ended up on this site to try and do it myself... lol. But it kept me busy at work for a few days, so it worked out quite well.

But it kept me busy at work for a few days, so it worked out quite well. It's not actually *modding* since PalmOS devices (thanksfully) don't come locked to licensed software like the PSP and XBox do You just put stuff there and it works. You *really* should make an effort to learn about this computer/games/memory cards business so you can do more stuff on your own and there's so much stuff to do that oehter people just can't know you'd like. My best advice is just try. Test. And search! Google is there for a reason.

A:/ Yes, you can help. A linux page would be nice, being that I'm too lazy to get my sd card to work with DSLinux . Just make sure it has a LOT of detailed descriptions and pictures! This should hopefully be the end of ljp problems when it is released! For pictures should we show screenshots of LJP or actual camera pictures? And sorry, I don't use linux.

What about those PSI installers? Then they could just run them and get LJP all configured?

What you need is a little program that will add roms to the correct paths on the sd card. That will help with the post-install problems.
