Version: 0.4.2me Firmware: 1.5 Details: Emulator starts up normally and works fine for about 10 minutes and then it won't save any kind of settings like frameskip, etc. and when exited the memory stick gets corrupted. Occurence: Always I don't know if this is the kind of memory stick I'm using (MAX memory 128 MB) or a bug in the emulator or just my psp itself. I was havin the same problems with the same stick. After reading your post i decided to try it out with my 32mb stick from the value pack. I have save features, games and everything else is everyway possible and it has not been corrupted once. Looks like the max memory 128 is just low quality, so thats why its getting traded in to game stop...... ;D

Version: 0.4.2Me Firmware: 1.5 Details: In Chrono Trigger there is a part where you need to press L & R and then A in order to open an area. Even after rebinding the command to get into the menu, holding the L&R buttons and then A does nothing, as if the left & right trigger do not function together unless it is a means to access the menu. Occurance: Always

Remap the buttons so that pressing the analog in the up position goes to the menu, and do not map the drections to the analog. that works for me at least

Thanks loser13. I had already tried to map before with failure, but then I accidentally discovered I could 'set to default' in such a way that the controls are like the SNES I used back when I had eMenu by Fanjita. Before when I bound a analog stick to menu, and turned off the analog to be used for movement, it seemed like it didn't do anything, as it wouldn't access the menu like I wanted. Now, although I can now access the menu from the analog stick, it seems I still have the problem where it's not inputting the command in game. I know the L&R combination works, because before I could access the menu no problem, and in other games such as Locoroco, L&R functions properly.

Just curious, did you already catch the rat to get the password, because me myself tried to go through to the next area without catching it, but the game forces you to before you can put the LR password in.

Version: 0.42 and 0.42ME Firmware: 3.10 OE-A' Summary: cannot save settings, and corruption of memory card requiring format.
Details:
So, I install TYL on a freshly formatted card, and it loads just fine, plays games relatively well (frameskip is 0 by default, not auto like it should be) but after I adjust the settings to optimum, and I try to save my defaults, I get a black 'Cannot save' screen. I press X and it disappears. Sometimes, I don't get that screen, but those times, when I leave TYL and go back to the PSP menu, the d**n thing tells me my memory card is corrupt and i have to reformat it.
Result: TYL stays off my PSP till you guyz fix it, end of story.

Internal Save game not working with games Uncharted Waters New Horizon & Civilization. Save state does work. Also note using latest and greatest emulator version 1.42me and firmware 1.5. Also have auto sram on in options. Also tried exiting the emulator and restarting/ and internal game load and both failed.
Hope this can be fixed, its a great emulator!

version : 0.4.2me
firmware : 1.50
details : Problem occurs using the X2 3600 mAh battery. After a random duration the battery info in the snes menu wigs out. It looks like this on the top: example broken: "- Snes9xTYL 0.4.2 13:00 Bat.:Chrg.-21446653443% Tmp.-212341343C" While in this state the top flickers and continued playing will result in an immenint "nuts happens" crash. Also, i'm NOT charging the battery when this happens. I'll try to get a picture some time. This never happens when I have the standard sized batteries in the PSP. Bullet points: o only when using x2 3600 mAh battery, standard batteries ok o only tested using battery power and not charging o only occurs with snes TYL (nes emulator or other games / music / video is unaffected) o sometimes during short playing times it wont happen, if any prolonged playing, 30 mins+, it eventually WILL happen (80%+) o it can happen in the menu before I load any roms o usually notice it when I go back into menu after prolonged playing o after entering the messed up state, I can play awhile longer but a crash is generally going to happen. o after entering the messed up state I have to restart PSP to clear o after entering messed up state, simply exiting snes TYL and re-opening program is currently untested.
occurence : most of the time, after random duration.
extra: props for making a wonderful emulator! I bet sony hates you because I dont own any games for the psp, the emu satisfies my snes addiction. this is the only issue I have, while its not all that serious I would like to be able to use the x2 batteries and play (also tetris attack is a little slow for some reason) Hands down you guys are awesome and I look forward to many more great releases from you. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication!

weird issue with Lufia, game works and all but there is a bug with the sound. music comes out the R speaker and sound fx come out the L speaker. I went into the game's options menu and changed the sound mode from mono to stereo. It did improve things but there are still some issues with sounds being stuck in one speaker or the other.

Version: 0.4.2 Firmware: 1.5/3.4 firmware hybrid Details: Chrono Trigger slows down when menu is on screen. Disabling BG0 and BG1 fixes speed so issue has to be in the display of these layers somehow. These layers also contain the actual menu. Also frame skip helps alot however it causes weird audio glitches. This was also tested on 3.90M33-3 and 4.01M33-2 as well using the slim unit port. This was on both the kernel and user mode versions.

Use the following in your snesadvance.dat file:
2D206BF7|Chrono Trigger (U)|0|0|0|0|0|0|2034A=42FC,EC74=42DB,3DEAEF=42FC,D3E47=DBAB,D3B98=42D8,11C47=42D3
I'm pretty sure I found a speedhack for the menu in the game a month or two ago, assuming I'm not thinking of some other game I worked on.

Version: 0.42 ME Firmware: 4.01 M33-2 Details: Seiken Densetsu 3 - English patch doesn't work, it just loads the game in Japanese. Radical Dreamers - Game does not load at all. Blue screen flashes around the screen. Star Ocean - Game does not load at all. Remains black, no colors. Occurrence: Always
I'm not sure if rom patches can't be run on this or not, but this is the issue I am having. Radical Dreamers specifically may have issues because it was a satteleview game, and Star Ocean was a pretty advanced SNES game that required a specific emulator addition to make it work right as I recall (originally only SNES9x could run it). I dunno if these are the reasons why the games aren't working right, but just checking to see if it is or not. The games do work fine on my PC emulators, SNES9x and ZSNES.

Hmm... I have a copy of SD3 that worked beginning to end in english, strange... I can't get Star Ocean to work at all either though Can't say I've ever heard of Radical Dreamers... (does it have to do with Crono Cross by any chance? O.o)
