Hi, First of All, thanks a lot for such a wonderful program, we really appreciate yoyo and tinnus for making this possible. I just love LJP. I use Z72.
I'd like to make a request.
On the browser mode, can you make the left and right navigator, toggle page down and page up, and highlight the first or last game of the next page respectively, this would be very useful when scrolling on long list of games.
Can you also add an option to turn off the overwrite message when saving state, i used it a lot so it would be easier if it was a single tap.
Could you also retain the 4 corner screen tap in-game, this is very handy for shortcuts. altho it may interfere with the zapper function later, maybe add an option to turn off and on.
You guys rock!

- Sega CD: Maybe, but from the specs I've looked at it would seem to be a lot slower than normal genesis. - "On the browser mode, can you make the left and right navigator, toggle page down and page up": probably, I'll take a look at this. - "Can you also add an option to turn off the overwrite message when saving state": easy - "Could you also retain the 4 corner screen tap in-game": what exactly do you mean? Just to keep it or isn't it working for you in newest versions?

Tinnus & Yoyo, you're truly "Radical Dreamers"! Thank you for your efforts, and also for creating this easy and open forum, where everyone can throw in an idea about the way of the emulation sure that at least someone will answer. I'd like to see Sega CD emulated, but if it can't be possible, nevermind. Most of all, since so many users are asking for it, any advice for keyboard / gamepad support on devices like Cliè UX and stuff?

First, Tinnus & Yoyo, you most definite rock! Thank you very much for creating LJP. When you get the Treo keyboard to work, will that mean I can use the keyboard on my LifeDrive? (I'd be happy to test it, if you'd like.) -jackie

Only Treo I'm afraid, no external keyboards and the like.

Oops. Sorry, I should have been more specific.
On the LifeDrive, in the area where they draw the Graffiti input area, you can also display a keyboard layout, or numeric keypad.
I'm guessing that won't work either? ;-)

Yeah, you guessed right, it won't It's just like external keyboards: it just sends a graffiti letter event. LJP doesn't proccess these beucause it would be veeeeeery slow if it did.

Dmitry has claimed he will make a hack for keyboard use with games, but I dont know when we will see it.

His hack is only for Treo anyway IIRC. But heck, it's easy to implement it in LJP (if MetaView's method works).

Thanks for looking into it. - "Can you also add an option to turn off the overwrite message when saving state": easy Woohoo Gr00vy! i use the 4 corner tap for quick save/load and change screen. I forgot to mention could u also remove the prompt when using quick save/load. you can add a short message saved/loaded to display for a couple of seconds so that the user may know it got saved/loaded. - "Could you also retain the 4 corner screen tap in-game": what exactly do you mean? Just to keep it or isn't it working for you in newest versions? It works great! Please keep it. I just thought u might remove it since the belt bar is being added. sorry for the late reply. You guys are the best!

- Confirm overwrite / confirm Q-Save/Q-Load: done - Left/right Page up/down: done "Confirm" options in "other" dialog. Left/right goes up/down 10 units in the list.

Aren't them supported already? I remember something about 'IPS patching' or the like.

This is directed to Tinnus, as I am posting this on Yoyo's birthday. Tinnus, have you looked into the possibility of adding hardware support for the graphics processor on HHE Clies? If its possible, the library allows for scaling functions which would take a good load of work off of the main processor. If its not possible, say no and I'll shut up, and if it is possible, I will wait to bug you about it after the next version of LJP is out. If you need any of the libraries or other information, I am available at jjesusfreak01@gmail.com, and the libraries are available at www.mobile-stream.com/devzone. Thanks alot, Brad PS: Its easier to test because nothing needs to be signed.

IIRC you've already contacted me about that 2 or 3 months ago and indeed I looked at the libraries... but from what I've seen they only take YUV images (good for movie playing) but not RGB... but I'm no expert at YUV or RGB or whatever so if anyone knows more about that, like how to convert from RGB to YUV, or if there's how to do it with RGB or if I can feed RGB directly or whatever, feel free.
(I'll look again at them though)

After looking at them again, it looks like the scaling wouldnt work without converting the bitmaps first, but it might be able to blit the rgb bitmaps without scaling. Whatever that means. Thanks for looking into it.

THE RELEASE OF LJP 1.0 RC SOUNDS really GOOD, most people expect it... treo's keyboard support... any chance of T|C's Keyboard to work?
Lifekeys from Dmitry ==> I don't know what it does, but at least doesn't work with T|C and LJP

Lifekeys is only for LifeDrive and Zire 31. Are you saying 1.0 RC1 will have support for Treo keyboard? Where did you get that info from? AFAIK there's no keyboard support for Treo, although possible. T|C 99,9% chance of not getting support.

can you add support for sgb extension. some of my zips are in sgb, they will work as gb though when i rename them to gb or gbc. i checked gnuboy, they dont support sgb yet.

I don't know if the emulator has SGB support (I guess it does), but anyway I'll make it so it recognizes the extension.

sgb is not really fully supported since there's no color or wallpaper. when played, it will just be a blank screen, however once the file extension is renamed to gb or gbc, the emu will play it in b/w mode, it has backward compatibility. Many thanks.

As I said in another thread, I'm absolutely astounded by the quality of emulation on LJP. While there is already an emulator for MAME, I was wondering if you might be able to improve on the current offering of PalmMAME which was based on PPC's MAME CE (particularly the sound). The ROM's are based on MAME version 0.36 while the current MAME version is at 0.98. Given your incredible work with LJP, you could probably do a great job with some of the arcade games that some of us old timers remember from 10 to 20 years ago.
