Every time I exit LJP on my Treo 650, the device resets. Not sure why. It runs fine when I'm using LJP, but every stinkin' time I exit, it resets. Any ideas?

Most likely related to the unstability problems of the launcher; wait for the next version and see if it solves it.

I don't think that will work, and I wouldn't suggest trying it. I tried looking around for a fix but could only find requests for one. The most interesting one I found was at palm powerups, someone asked dmitrygr if it was possible to make a fix for the UX50 dmitrygr said its possible but it would slow down the entire UX50 if he did. Its very unlikely he will do it though, he is very busy with other projects at the moment. So I guess you stuck playing RPG games, but that isn't so bad its really hard to play action or fighting games on a palm anyways. Unless you have a zodiac. ;D

will it be possible to make some kind of virtual pad on the graffiti area??? just a thought, but it might solve the problem and help many clie users like me. i have a nes emu for my casio e500 that has a virtual pad, maybe one can be added to the palm as well

Yes that has been suggested before. It is on the LJP to-do list, I don't think it will be in RC3 but I would think it should eventually find its way to a future release.

hey i just found something interesting,i use the upper virtual keys and the hard keys at the same time on the NES, the problem is that in most games when i press them they act like i press them many times. The bottom V keys cant be used at the same time with the hard keys, they pause the game and open the config screen, kinda strange. on SNES they dont work as good, when i press them they act as some kind of shortcut to the config and change my settings. I'll keep trying with the other systems and see what i can find

BTW if I do a virtual pad, which means, buttons at the screen/DIA/silkscreen, only 1 screen button would be able to be pressed at a time.

In the last few hours, I've been getting a consistent crash when exiting LJP 1.0 RC2 using any method. The exact error is
Fatal Exception: 10 0000003F 20051DF1 20051312 3620FDBC
My device is a Zodiac 1 with roughly 9 Mb of free memory.
Update: I just tried renaming the ljp.ini file after a soft reset, and it no longer crashes on exit.

And the crashing returns. I completely removed the LJP folder from the SD card, did a soft reset, and that stopped the crashing, but after reconfuring LJP, it again crashes on exit.

Uninstall everything related to LJP including the .zem files and reinstall with the instiller. (You can keep the ROM's and directories were they are)

Yeah, I ended up doing that. I think I figured out what the problem was. I had two roms in the GENS folder that I'd forgotten to remove earlier. When I took those out, the crashing stopped.

Grauuu, I was wrong. It's still crashing. If I don't change any of the options under the 'Options' button, it stays reasonably stable, but if I even click on that button and then go back to the Browser, it will crash when I close LJP.

so when can we see the LJP 1.0 RC3 around? I wasnt sure how long it would take for the last 20percent. Another 2 weeks or so or is it coming to a close for the next version?

I have a Treo 600....i installed LJP for the first time today...only had time to copy Atari roms to my SD card.
I open the program and the browser shows the roms fine....but when I pick up one and tap on LAUNCH....it begins to launch and then RESET!!....don't even receive a error message............
Does anyone has this problem???

If you looked carefully you'd see that RC2 doesn't support Atari for low-res, but RC3 will. You can, however get the RC3 Atari module with low-res support at the below address and see how it goes; I *suppose* it should work. Get it at your own risk though; I will not support problems regarding this one until RC3 is out tinnus.gp32z.com/ljp-vcs.zem

I just did a fresh install of RC2, and I used the mp3 trick to sync my roms to my card. After renaming them and moving them to the proper directory, I launch LJP and I see the roms. I only have NES roms, and when I run any of them, I get the same error.
"Unrecognized PNO format." "Error while loading PNO." "259"
Any help?

Download again, it looks like you got corrupted files. Also, are you sure the ZEMs are at the right folder in the card? Additionally, try downloading the ZIP if you got the installer and vice versa.

I can't get Bee 52 or Big Nose Freaks-Out to work in LJP 1.0 RC2 on a Zire 72s but all of the other Codemaster/Camericas with a 71 mapper work fine. What am I doing wrong?

Interesting... On my T|E, Bee 52 shows nothing but the Code Masters Logo, then a purple screen.
Big Nose Freaks Out starts up and plays, but has many graphical anomalies and the screen flashes randomly.
Seems I remember having problems with these on pc emulators as well.

Thats what I get too. But on the PC emulator FCE ultra Bee 52 works great Big Nose freaks out has some problems at the begining ,screen flickering, that could almost be part of the game then you bounce on a mushroom and and its fine. FCE 0.98.12 has some kind on an editor in it. Is there any way to use this to repair the games so they will work on LJP?

Use the 'launch' button. I think you're using the center button in the d-pad to launch the game? That was some leftover debug stuff for checking keycodes.

Just FYI: that's the same issue I reported having with the T|X Tinnus... and it's just a situation where the launcher doesn't recognize the L, R, or centre buttons on the current generation 5-way pads. Along this line of thought, I just realized: in RC3 and later, is the centre button hard coded to the Launch button, or will it perform a quickload if there's a quicksave available? I realised that there are situations where I might want one or the other

It always was hard-coded to the same action as the LAUNCH button.. uh... I think.

Have you checked out LifeKeys at www.palmpowerups.com ? It was made to solve this problem. btw - a forum search of "zire31" would probably return this answer, as it has been discussed before. edit - That being said, welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay. We're here to help.
