UPDATE for above post. I checked NGP, WS and GG. ALl work fine though NGP is a bit unstable and the frame rate is very inconsistant.

Hello, I don't have any luck on my Zodiac 2: Everytime I try to start a game, the Z2 crashes with a "Fatal Exception 10 ......." No matter what system, no matter what rom I try Thanks for your work, Tinnus - keep going! Seppel

I tried it on my new 650, with poor results. RC2 was really stable and worked VERY well. I deleted it, loaded up rc3 and it seemed to install OK.. but all of the paths but the SMS one were corrupt so it wouldn't see any roms. Once corrected, anything I tried resulted in a reboot. Back to rc2 for me!

Hey im kinda new here and I love LJP. ;D
When I install RC3 it wont show any ROMs and I do know what I have been doing like folder wize because it works with RC2. Also what is the file extension to a Genessis game is it "7z"? because it says "No ROM"

7z is a 7-zip file. Get it free here to unzip www.7-zip.org . Genesis extension used by ljp is .bin . LJP supports zipped roms only in the .zip standard format www.winzip.com . The folder structure is the same between ljp versions. Roms go in Palm/Programs/LJP/*console*/roms where *console* is the console's name, such as GB, GENZ, GG, NES, etc. See the readme file.

Ignore my previous "problem w/ 650" post - I'm a moron. I didn't have a card in during install, so when it installed it all blew to heck. After reading insrtruction (1st time for everything) I found the correct way to wipe and re-install. I'm having really really great luck with NES and SNES stuff. I have to disable sound on almost all SNES games for speed reasons, but that's not the emulators fault. And hey, if I send 10 bux via paypal, do I find out what *** is ?

it's not that difficult to find out what it is. just read posts about it and you'll find that Tinnus has said too much in some of them. No matter how clueless you feel about *** you will get it if you just read some of the posts.

However, if you do feel you know what it is, keep it to yourself. No one will verify it.

Hey - I just found the solution to my Zodiac-problem: there was an old ljp.ini on the Internal card. After I deleted this one - it worked .. now I have to check the improvements... bye & Thanks, Seppel

Yeah I said that over at ZG. I forgot to say in the post here--you MUST delete the old ljp.ini or it WILL screw stuff up.

If after a hard reset something doesn't work, you definately are in trouble. If after MORE hard resets, the problems persist, send it for rapairing.
edit: important to know that HotSync not working might be a problem at the PC/USB port side.

Thanks for the fast reply. I think I might have fixed it for now.... But I have to keep reseting for somthing like the camera to work and hope it lasts I was thinking about sending it back but is Palm that nice it was only a 90 day warranty and I got in in August of last year. Well it works for now and LJP still works I am happy ;D PS: I am not shure but when I play Kirby games(GB) and sometimes when I save it "hits select" so I loose my power it happened to me like 3 times but its kinda wierd.

i've got a problem with the gb part of rc3 (the only emulator i really use right now btw, so i don't really know if this problem is limited to the gb emulator or if its a general problem) which is that every second time i run ljp it resets.. when i run it for the first time after a reset, it works just fine, but after i quit, and try to run it again it always crashes, no matter if i use any program in between the two runs or not, it just crashes..
oh and this is on a treo 650, no udmh..

rc3 work on all modules well except snes(only works 1/10 attempts.....w/ udmh) and vcs(only 5/33 games "work" ) for the same reasons stated earlier in this thread, but i cant save any games in ljp except i use the toolbar, and that is only for a quick save and not for 1 of the 3 save slots provided, how do i/can i fix this problem??also for treo 650 users that have snes running sucsessfully, how did you do it( 13 megs free, udmh and pxaclocker and still buggy)?

If you tap, ingame, on the screen you get that nice onscreen menu, if you tap there on save you can save in one of three slots.

Tapwave Zodiac1, DBCacheTool shows 8.8MB free, 8.3MB allocatable. Did a clean function+reset then loaded LJP. Launching SMB3 for NES shows "MemoryMgr.c, Line:3655, NULL handle" with and without UDMH. Launching Mario World for SNES shows "Fatal Exception: 10 0000003F 20051F03 2005203E 70554090".

Whenever I tap "save" on the ingame menu nothing happens. I can see the 3 slots but none will highlight so I can pick one, quicksave is the only option......is anyone else having this problem on a treo 650 or other device?

Click one of the slots anyway. When they are filled they highlight to enable the delete button.

Uh, they being grey doesn't mean you can't click them, it just means there's nothing saved there So you click a grayed slot and it saves there. Done.

duh...thats what it was, i have to tap/hold the slots in rc3 for it to save, this was why i thought it didnt work because in rc2 i just tap the slot then the game saved with no problems......thanks everyone. anyone with a treo 650 have suggestions for higher success rate with the snes module??

Skinning apps and LJP don't tend to like each other. If you have one of these installed, disable it for LJP.

LJP does some stuff with the UI that's not recommended by "the manual" Although it worked fine for me with SkinUI some months ago; only drawback is the windows was always the same color no matter the system.

On my Treo 650 it is crashing consistently with the SNES module (the only one I use)
I was fine with SNES on RC2 - I do have UMDH 5.2 installed and about 17MB free for LJP so I don't think it's a memory issue.
I've been getting a "cannot load rom" error sometimes too. These are all the same roms on the same card that was working fine with rc2 - any suggestions?

What setting are you using for CPU core? If ASM, then try using the snes.zem from rc2.

I passed on RC3, really too many issue on my TX. I prefer to keep the RC2 which problems are well known and be patient waiting for LJR palm...

Oh, that's unfortunate, angel. RC3's launcher is an amazing improvement on my T|E. I could count the number of unwanted resets I've had with RC3 on one hand, whereas with RC2 it was several times a day in addition to every time when leaving LJP. Going back to rc2's snes.zem and gen.zem has allowed me to use the speedier ASM cpu core once again.

That's the life i dont occult the fact some of my handled program "could" not help ljp RC3 to be stable. But well, i deal with, considering i use it for almost everything it is able to do : Gps, phone numbers, rendez-vous, subway map, email, vnc on my server, ftp when i need a file at my customer's office, mp3, films, of course gaming and emulation. I'll wait a stable release of LJR Well... if tinnus implement the IRDA keyboard and BT gamepad i'll have to find a way to make it works... when you start using this you cant pass on them
