veggie: I will try *** for LJR. Can't give dates as LJR, being a big project, is not my top priority (makes sense: if small projects were top, they would take forever. Better to make people happy in a smaller time frame ) About ppsx (or psx4all, new name) yeah it will be released as soon as I figure out some quirks. Menchi: with the stuff we're implementing ANd the future possibilities, it should be able to run very well (at least overclocking to 512)

I dont think is my PDA cuz the previous version i was able to run snes and gen with no problem, kinda slow, but no problems

mikmod is for the BG music, but this version doesn't have BG music. So you shouldn't install it anyway

cid - If some games run but others won't: have you tried running the "C" CPU core in snes and gen? Tap Config>Other. Or you can also go back to the snes.zem and gen.zem files from RC2 to regain the speedier ASM core.

I tried with the zem files from rc2 and naranjas(nothing). but when i install rc2 all work fine, snes and gen kinda slow with the sound on, but work. About the memory, i have on system memory: 4.2Mb free;on program memory: 8Mb free;on internal media memory:29.2Mb; and on the card 111.1Mb. Which is the one i should free more to make it work??? or am i fine with what i have??

Program Memory probably.
Sony gives funny names to the memory areas... heh.

System memory should be at least 7MB, Program Memory should be at least 16MB; the rest doesn't really matter (although you'll need a few MB to hold savestates etc. on the card).

Wow! Snes games work perfectly with LJP 1.0 RC3 on my lifedrive (with the help of UDMH 5.3, UnCache and apropiate emulation settings).
I have the following problem:
Everytime I open LJP I get the following error: "Wrong version for ini file, reverting to default".
It's really not a big problem at all, but it gets really old having to reprogram all the button preferences everytime I want to play. What am I doing wrong? I deleted the old ini file from RC2 before installing RC3.
Here is the directory that I use for my lifedrive:
/PALM/Programs/LJP/...
Please note that I don't use a SDcard. I created that directory inside my lifedrive's NVFS drive. Could that possibly have something to do with the ini error?
I really don't want to place the games in a SDcard, otherwise it would defeat the purpose of having 4 gigs(?) of drive space and not being able to use it for LJP.
Thank you in advance...

I would try deleting the ljp.ini file (you needed to do this when you installed RC3 if you had a previous version installed) and start LJP again.

I already tried that and it doesn't work. The only thing that works is if I first delete ini, delete LJP and finally reinstall LJP again.
Doing this will work, but it will only work for about six times (after six times of opening LJP, that is) but after that, it will start to give me the "wrong ini file" nag screen again.

It sounds like it might actually be a third party software conflict; try disabling some of the software that runs behind the scenes. This fixed the problem for me in RC2.

Cid, though I am using NX73V right now instead, but I think I can explain what is going on with your LJP on your UX50, since it sounds very much like what my NX73V is doing.
1 - You need UDMH 5.3, set it to 9000K (Least) and check "Clean up for this app" box, then press ok. 2 - If you get any error message when you are running LJP (such as ""MemoryMgr, line:3564, NULL handle."), you should hard reset your Clie and then use MSBackup to restore everything you had on your UX50.
The reason for the second step is because everytime you get a crash while in LJP, it somehow mess up your memory, so the only way to make it to work again is to hard reset so it'll defrag the memory.
By the way, I don't think it's a matter of using ASM core or C core, because I am using ASM core for my SNES games and it runs fine, so I think what you are going through is the same problem I had on my NX73V.
I forgot what the specs for UX50 is, but here's NX73V's memory spec, it has only about 3MB system memory, so it must have UDMH 5.3, and as for program memory, it has about 12MB useable, which means I can use only about 2MB, so if UX50 is lacking system memory, you must have UDMH 5.3.
PS: It has come to my attention that everytime you finish playing a SNES game, you MUST leave LJP (go back to the main clie luncher or any luncher program you are using, not LJP luncher), then run LJP again, then pick the next SNES game you want to play.
If you try to run another SNES right away without going back to your main clie luncher, it will give you an error message right away and then you'll have to do a hard reset.

Is there a way to install RC3 and not loose my saves on FF II? I have installed it and could not get it to recognize any ROMs, so I went back to RC2 Thanks Terry

everything works great on my zire 72 except i couldn't launch any genesis games so i deleted the ljp-gen.zem file and replaced it with ljp-gen.zem from ljp RC2 and now its fine. Also even though it says you can't play background music I'm able to with ptunes and still have the sound from the game at the same time and it doesn't slow down the games for me and I don't use any over clockers.

No, it says it can't play the BG music that used to play in the launcher.
