When exactly does the reset occur? How much free RAM? Is UDMH installed? Is something running on background? What's your palm model? (BTW I have a suggestion for everyone -- since we keep asking about "what's you model", why not write your model name in the area below the avatar? (or your sig) )

i just re-did my signature
well. my objective is to install the new v1.0rc2 but i had the v0.8 so. the procedure i followed. was just to delete the LJP.prc, i did that with the palm default launcher.
and all the LJP related files were deleted from the main memory. i used FileZ, this includes the LJPM and LJPP. this 2 are 68Kb.
i used a card reader to delete the Zem files form v0.8 form my Memory stick
made a soft reset.
installed the LJP.prc (v1.0rc2) with the install tool from the palm desktop. then i copied the zem files for the new version on the LJP folder.
and runned the Emulator. it did lall the list of roms. (NES and GB, which are the ones i am playing)
the problem is when i try to launch and open a rom to play it. i just gives me a screen with out any explation. no line of error
it says that it is necessary to reset all response from the screen, hard bottons, power botton, etc. is dead. just the reset botton works
so this how it has been with this version.
i did most of the recommended proccedures that beaves suggested. but still give me the same result as how i described.
i thank you for all the help you can give.

That's though... I guess I need to put a debug log function in there, with the description you gave it's nearly impossible to tell what caused the problem.

Well, there's still a few more things that can be checked. Some programs running in the background can interfere with the operation of LJP. Are you running any "hacks" that patch the operating system?
Among other changes, "hacks" often eat away at dynamic memory, which emulators need alot of. You might try UDMH to gain more dynamic ram. Make sure to have more free RAM than you allocate to LJP in the configuration of UDMH.
I've had problems before with programs such as EnergyDimmer, OKey, PowerJog and CaseToggle. The problem with EnergyDimmer wasn't cleared up just by disabling it; I had to completely uninstall it.
So you might want to start by looking through the options screens of all your non-game programs. If any of them have an option to disable, try disabling them all, and then running LJP.
If you get no results, you could post a list of the non-game programs you have installed that have an option to disable. Perhaps I or someone else can determine if there are any known problems with these programs working in harmony with LJP.

Running a zodiac 2 first edition, the SNES module, Super Mario World (have not tested other games),
I have turbo mapped to center clicker. I have quicksave to the lower-right on the screen and quickload to the lower-left.
whenever I quicksave or quickload I get a few seconds of turbo after that automatically turns itself off. its very anoying and has caused multiple deaths.

Yeah, I've had similar instances of seeing the effects of buttons that I am not even pressing. In NES or GB the game will pause (start button) when my thumb is nowhere near the button I have assigned to "start". It will do this sometimes when I've got 3 or more buttons pressed at once: such as down, right, and B. Also happens in ZDoomZ with the menu. Not too bothersome, unless I'm in a tight situation...

I get this message on my Sony Clie PEG-TG50
"An error has occured in the application you are using.
Note the error code and contact the developer of this application (Sys 0505) (0, 1115)"
Odd cause its compatible with my system I am for sure. This error appears as soon as I launch the program.

Try some older version like 0.7 or 0.8... while we try to solve the launcher bugs.

i had little john palm for a few days, and it worked fine on my tungsten e2 because all i used it for was NES. Then i tried loading it with powerrun and it froze my palm so i reset it. and now whatever i do (battery drains, all flavors of resets, and even trying to hotsync) I can't get it past that screen, has anyone had this problem, or know how to fix it?

Hi everyone, I posted a message about this yesterday on another thread, and have look about a bit and haven't seen a solution to this problem so far: I have been playing "Link's Awakening DX" in the most recent release of LJP and have really been enjoying it. I downloaded 'Oracle of Ages' and 'Oracle of Seasons' and neither will work... I just get a white screen and nothing happens (although, before the white screen happens, the Capcom logo does display). Can anyone offer any suggestions? I would really like to play these games!

damaper: Flipping is not supposed to do anything. Wide mode I belive also should not do anything on T3
jcadiram: Have you tried with sound SIM or ON?

Thanks Tinnus... I actually run all my games with the sound ON anyway, so that can't be the problem. It's driving me nuts because everyone talks about how good these games are, and I really don't want to use 'The Other Emulator' to play them!

jcadiram: try UDMH? also, try the European versions. they're 2megs instead of 1, but maybe they work...

BUG REPORT
First off, this is the best multi-emulator in the palm platform to date. Great job guys!!!
The bug:
for the genesis module, SFII Turbo (unreleased beta) doesnt calculate the scores correctly, thus causing the game to hang. i noticed that it only does that on the ASM core.
Why SFII Turbo beta? because you can configure the buttons better than the Champion Edition one.

I'm a new member who has been using LJP for a while now. I just got a Zodiac 2, and after using several times, every time I try to start it, it says "Fatal exception: 100000003F2015BF752015AC7430A49D4B" The Zodiac is brand new, and has nothing running in the background. Another thing it can do after a few uses, is when I try to switch systems, it displays the roms, but has a loud buzzing and stops responding. I have to completely erase or overwrite all files in order to fix the first problem. Wow, and while typing this, I found a new problem: SNES freezes and shows a square as a game, and a blank line.

Hello. I have a T3 and I'm using 1.0 RC2. I've tried playing Zelda Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons on the GB, and The Secret of Mana on SNES. All three games work fine at first, but then the game freezes and won't work past a certain point, so it's impossible to continue. One of the crashes corrupted the save game as well. I wasn't doing anything in particular when the games crashed. I don't get any kind of error message or reset. I've tried different settings, but nothing seems to work At this point, I'm kind of scared to try again, as every time I get into a game, this happens. I really hope you guys might have some ideas that will help, so I can get back to playing I'm also wondering how to save the game in different slots, as I can't figure out how to do it. Thanks

I'm also wondering how to save the game in different slots Have you discovered the OSD (On Screen Display)? Tap the center of the screen during emulation to access it. The two orange buttons act the same as the disk and folder on the beltbar. The two purple load and save buttons are what you're after. About the roms, have you tried them on a windows emulator to see if they will function past that point? Hopefully Tinnus will answer you about the freezes and crashes.

Try re-installing LJP, and that means removing the PRC, the preferences (should go along with the PRC if you delete from the normal launcher) and ESPECIALLY the ljp.ini file in the LJP folder in the card. I'm STILL to implement a logging system to LJP. ANyway...

The OSD never came up for me before, strangely. In fact, I didn't know it should have until I read these posts! I guess I figured it hadn't been implemented yet, or that I was missing something. It did work for the first time when I reloaded from the game save, which also hadn't worked for me before, then the lightbulb finally came on... Apparently, a friend of mine turned on the sound and messed with some options when I wasn't around, which I think is what caused the crash and the subsequent corruption. It seems to work fine after reloading from the save I made through the game. If anything else goes wrong, I'll reinstall. Thank you for the advice, all This is a great emulator, much better than the other one I've tried. If I run into any more strange problems, I'll let you guys know.

Apparently, a friend of mine turned on the sound and messed with some options when I wasn't around, which I think is what caused the crash and the subsequent corruption. There is something you should know about the OSD, however. There are some small memory leaks, which means the more you use it, the sooner the dynamic memory will run out and cause a crash. This is no big problem though; a soft reset brings it all back again. I try to change all my options either in the main browser window or from the beltbar, neither of which seems to deplete dynamic memory. Some people use Unlimited Dynamic Memory Hack to increase dynamic memory at the cost of storage memory, but from what I've heard this isn't really necessary on the T3 as it is has quite a bit already.
