It's done when it's done, probably it will be released together with Windows Vista, Duke Nukem Forever and PS3.

Yeah thanks for reporting that tgwaste: I'd want to say "soon" but my time is filled with real world stuff a lot. Moreover, I'm doing some pretty good work on the PSX emulator... And y'all might get a cool new Palm OS puzzle game soon

Hooray for the puzzles! When I'm not emulating, I'm often racking my brain on a palm puzzle... Looking forward to the next psx4palm test version. If you need more tests on the current version on my lowly T|E, just let me know. As for LJR, I know it is going to be quite a bit of work. LJP 1.0rc3 runs very well, so take as long as you need.

I would love to help speed things along, but I am not a programmer (other than QBasic, and I doubt that will help). Is there any other way I can help you directly or otherwise with the development of this opensource project, Tinnus?

When is the next LJP going to come out? I love it. Thanks for creating such an awesome emulator.

I really hate to rain on everyone's parade, but.
RC3 is a no-go on my Zire 72. It complains "No ROM!" when I know for a fact that there are ROMs in the proper places, and RC2 found them just fine.
-EDIT- Better provide some details. I'm running LJP entirely off a 128MB SD card. Launcher, emulators, roms, everything is on the card. That's about the only relevant thing I can think of...

Most of this stuff you probably already know, but I'm going to try to be thorough. - If the rom PATH setting has been changed, try setting it back to the standard location.
- Standard location for roms is /Palm/Programs/LJP/xxx/Roms where xxx is the console name, such as NES.
- If roms are zipped, they must be in standard zip format such as by WinZip. Some other programs will produce non-standard zip files.
- One rom per zip file.
Try deleting the ljp.ini file in /Palm/Programs/LJP, especially if you haven't already done so when upgrading.

hello beavis, Just wondering, I know that you have a palm tungsten E. Have you got it to emulate SNES at good speed with sound, because, my palm tungsten E2, plays snes from time to time and sometimes when I try to exit the game, it gives an error and then a reset? Also, what are your settings for that? Thanks

Getting good speed from the SNES module requires several things. First fire up the overclocker. Be judicious with the higher speed settings, as each processor has it's stability limits. Use the snes.zem file from RC2 and try to run the game using the faster ASM cpu core. If it won't run, you've got to use the more compatible C core. The big speed increases will come by upping the frameskip number; but at the higher numbers the animation may become choppy. That's where the Smoothing comes in to even it out. But that can also slow it down.
You've really got to play with the settings to see what works to your liking with each game. That's what's great about RC3 is it can remember the settings for each game. Just tap the System button and it will change to Game. All the configurations made on the Game setting will be saved for that game only and will override the System settings when playing that game.
Other settings for speed up: Display Size: x1 Fast Sprites: check Renderer: Fast Audio Freq: 11Khz
About the error and reset when exiting a game: That doesn't happen on my Palm any more since using RC3. But I've heard that people with NVFS devices sometimes have fewer crashes when using RC2.
Use the On Screen Display (center screen tap) as little as possible, as the dynamic memory this uses is not released, and instead use the beltbar.

Is that what "smoothing" actually does? I didn't think it had anything to do with frameskip, I thought it was "smoothing pixels" to make it look better. Survey says?

It doesn't have anything to do with frameskip. It's used to smooth pixels in the upscaled displays.

ok, thanks for the tips, I am getting good speed on snes but that is without sound. Just wondering, do you know what I should limit myself to in terms of speed when I overclock my tungsten E2? It has an Intel Xscale 200mhz processor. Also, I'll put back RC3 instead of RC2 and change the snes.zem file and tell you if it works. The thing about the reset is that I get worried that it will somehow mess up my tungsten, is there a possibility that too many resets can cause it to malfunction? The other thing is that even without sound and with 17mb of free memory + using UDMH and Uncache, when I try to play a snes rom, it give me an error message, which keeps repeating with another message, usually I click ok for a couple of times and then it might actually continue or it might freeze depending on my luck, have you had that problem or have you heard of someone who had it? Plus, sometimes, it might say "could not load rom" or "not enough memory" and return back to the rom selection screen in LJP? What could be the reason? If anyone who reads this message had similar problems, I would appreciate your input a lot. Thanks again

Okay, my bad. Must be just the power of suggestion that seems to make the animation "smoother".

Hello, For that type of phone I would recommend using MorphGear. it works really well if you set it up right. LJP doesnt support WM yet. If you've got WM, I'd suggest going with the emulators designed to run on it... there is actually quite a thriving WM emulation community out there. You also get the benefit of gba and psx emulators, among other things

thank u very much for the info guys, i really wanted to have LJP running on my 700, but i'll give it a try for the other emus, but i havent really found any that work on my particular device, they ask for ARM or MIPS processors, which i think i dont have on my 700, but i'll keep looking, specially that Morphgear, seems kinda promissing

I'm pretty sure the 700 is ARM-based, isn't it? All the Intel PXA chips are based on the ARM tech.
