I have the sources here if you need them. I also have the fixed genesis module for RC3 using the newer cyclone and all that jazz. ljp-gen.zipThat should work in a minute, gotta add this site to the whitelist for leeching.

What about the Treo-keyboard support? Any progress here? Shall I add it? Where is the source (launcher and button-handling)?

Here is the source that I got, not sure everything is there, all I was doing was trying to build the genesis module. This one doesn't have the new genesis because I've made a mess of it trying to add Drz80 to it (and failing so far). ljp-src-1.0rc3.ace

Well, it seems I only get some modules (like SNES) compiled. If it now also runs then I add it here and someone needs to propagate it to the other modules. But the key-handling is the shared, so it might be done already for every other module.

(outside the normal keys).. im speaking of the actual alpha-keyboard btw..

tgwaste: What I wanted to say was, the call to handle the keys seems to be the same in all modules. Means, doing it for SNES would bring this feature also to every other module. I can't compile anything meaningful expect SNES and therefore can't test it. @angle: Well, let's see :-)

Sorry I don't think the source I posted was complete, but it is all that I had available and that's better than nothing at least.
It should be the same code for the buttons on all the modules, it is in LJP_main or something like that. I haven't looked at it in ages. Check the targets though, there should be a build all that will try them all out. Then you need to run the script to zip all the .lem files up.

Tinnus, maybe you can help in this regard?

I don't think I have the RC3 source packed up either What I have is just the current code. I might as well release it as-is though, since the next step (probably in later December or January) will be LJR and that's basically grounds-up.

@angle: Well, let's see :-) That would be godly usefull the IR/BT support already changed my life with the "Z" soft you updated, the two last programs who would need it are LJP & Palmmame (because i'm ruining my buttons with raiden )

Just wondering, when will LJP 1.0 RC3 be released, you know, not the pre one, but the actual one, out of curiosity? Also, I know this is an odd question, but is it possible to know how many people out there(in these forums) got their palm to run LJP 1.0 RC3 and what there device was? Thanks

(pre) is in parentheses, that meant it would be "pre" until proven stable enough, which it was So no RC3 without "pre". Next release (not promising any dates, sorry) will be LJR and stuff.

hello folks! ive finally decided to creep my way out of the proverbial internet closet ... ive been a regular reader for a few months now, but this is my first time posting ... i discovered LJP about 6 months ago - i absolutely love it! by far the best free emulator on the market! ive been using it on my treo 650 and dont get much reading done these days was curious if anyone else was getting any errors when playing? ive had a few problems when receiving phone calls or SMS msgs (LJP freezes up/stalls out and I have to reset the old fashioned way with a pull of the back cover panel). Is there a way to combat the need to reset this way if its frozen? anyone else freezing up? Also forgive me for asking , but what was the result of the above discussion to upgrade to a newer version of LJP? Will it be updated to include: qwerty keyboard mapping, UDMH-like stuff internally, IR support, or an update to block calls/sms msgs or fix the freezing issues? I know there are a few of you out there with skills enough to program/re-program things to work better ... unfortunatly I am just an unskilled user. PS - any tips for learning to create an emulator and (eventually/hopefully) contribute to projects like this? Id be starting from scratch, but am a fast learner ..... PPS - Tinnus, i notice you are the moderator - are you also a developer? Who created/owns the LJP project? Thanks so much for your efforts I appreciate all that you have done for us so far! ;D

Thanks for the info Tinnus!
Any plans to update any of the above mentioned items in the next release of LJP? to add to that list, i was wondering if there could be a counter added to each emulators page counting the total number of roms its reading from your files?
also, ive seen mention of *LJR*, what exactly is that?
thanks for the help Tinnus

Hello there maxer, The JLR is supposed to be LJR, it's Little John, but for the zodiac not the palmOS. Tinnus, just wondering, what programming language are you guys using to code LJP?
Thanks

I think your response was a bit confusing... LJZ was Little John for Zodiac. It was later expanded to LJP for PalmOS. The current unreleased project is LJR. I can never remember what Tinnus says the R stands for, but I always think of it as Little John Rewrite The features suggestions would be best in the LJR feature request thread where Tinnus can find them easily, instead of in the LJPrc3 thread This thread was (I thought) supposed to be for bug reports from people currently running LJPrc3. Anyway, welcome, new members, to the forum! Search the related threads, as there has been a LOT of discussion on this board about the various emulators.
